My surgery is also on 9/11. I am so nervous but excited.

I have been waiting for a long time my surgery date is September 11th, i am so nervous and sooo excited. But getting really nervous about it. And my husband isnt making it any better by telling me he is afraid for me. Pray for me everyone...

Sharon: Thank you for your encouraging words. Congratulations to you as well! I know we are supposed to be happy and excited and I agree the support groups are the key to keep on track. I think this website is great for ongoing support as well. I am preparing myself my trying to break old habbits prior to surgery instead of the say I return home. I sort of feel that this is our yellow brick road....if you know what I mean. I will keep you posted. You too...keep me posted.

First of all COngrats on your date!! Right around the corner for you. Don't feel alone. I got my date - it's Sept 20th and I was worried and depressed when I should be happy. I think it is the anxiety that comes with this major life changing surgery. I worry often about messing up this diet too. I know this is my last chance. I have done everything and the thought of failing this too is just too much for me to think about. I really worry about that. SO I guess it must be a common worry. But, I truly believe this is the BEST chance we have. I think the key is to follow the rules (duh) , but also to stay involved with some sort of support group or something. I think we need the constant support to get us through this. Good luck and keepme posted>

Amy, I'm a 9/11 too!!! I'm very excited and like you 9/11 has been a good date in the past, for me it's givin me reason to be greatful....Good Luck and we all will journey together!!!
