Hi - this is my first post on OH, although I post a lot on my surgeon's message board. I have been lurking on OH for several weeks. now. I'm scheduled for RNY on Wed. Sept. 6. (just a little over 2 weeks!) I am very excited at the prospect of getting healthy, yet I am VERY NERVOUS! Would love to hear if anyone else has my date.

Looks like we have the same date. I haven't gained, but I haven't lost either. My doctor's nutritionist put us on a 4-5 protein, unlimited vegitables, 2 fruits, 2 starch & 3 fats per day. Of course, I haven't been as good as I should have been...been celebrating the "last supper" for weeks now. lol Good luck Nellie!

Hi all! Are we not excited ????? I am having problems sleeping, spend hours looking through profiles and reading more and more. I am not scared at all, I have researched it to death and I think that this site is the best thing that has every happened to someone thinking about WLS. I am just ready to be on the other side! I guess that it doesn't help that we have spent months jumping through hoops to get the insurance company all of the tests done..so it seems longer. Patience is definately not one of my virtues. lol ;) I hope everyone is doing wonderful! Congrats on your date! ~*Debbie*~

I am having surgery the same day. Count down 23 DAYS TO GO! I'm having mine done by Dr. Singh at Albany Medical Center in Albany.

hello, i too am having surgery in Sept... the 12th. now that it is starting to get closer i am getting excited and nervous. my pre op apt is the 29th. good luck to you. if you want email me any time i am not always on this thing.
