I must share my joy! I had surgery on September 6, 2006. My starting weight was 325--my weight on Friday was 198--I'm so excited! When I started this journey, I thought--if I can get to 199, I'll be happy! Well, I AM happy, but I'm not stopping yet--my new goal is 140.

Whooo Hooooo!!! I am feeling great!! Weight at morning of surgery: 225 lbs Weight today: 140 lbs Total lost since Surgery: 95 lbs Weight lost prior to surgery: 10 lbs I am a size 2 skirt, 4 pants, and extra small top !!! It is crazy to have my life back!!

I hear you all!!!! :) I went from a size 22 to a size 6. I NEVER wore skirts or dresses pre op. The other day, I wore a "short" skirt to work, and a coworker said "You need to stop wearing your daughters clothes." I laughed it off, but in the back of my mind, I feel like people are thinking "look at her, she lost all this weight, and she really thinks she's something". I cant help it though, I mean... I am only 31 years old... the other day, I was at Old Navy, and I bought this skirt that I didnt even like... just because it was a size SMALL and it fit.... Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever wear anything that was labled "SMALL". And, I dont think its wrong to be proud of that. I do get a lot more attention than I did pre op. Sometimes, its wierd because I'll feel "unworthy" of the attention, like all of a sudden, I'm back in the "heavy" mindset. I clam up, and get nervous. I feel that since my op the biggest obstical that I'm dealing with is the mental side of it.... For 31 years I've beat it into my head that I was "less of a person" because I was "fat". And, now all of a sudden, I'm skinny :) and, its hard to change 31 years of negative thoughts in 9 months :) I wonder if there's an operation for that........... ha ha ha
