Hello My name is Heather. I had my surgery on Sept 12,2005. Almost a year for me. I was just as nervous as you are now. But it was totally worth it. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!!! Remember that this is a tool. You have to do the rest and I know that you can. I have reached my goal of 102 lbs, 112 lost. Know that it is tough but God only gives us what we can handle. The night before surgery, take pictures and all your measurements. That way when the weight loss is slow, you can see the difference in other ways. Good luck on your journey!

I got the call this morning, start your liquid diet today your scheduled for surgery on the 15th!!! Wow I got approved and a surgery date in 1 week!!!! I have a slew of emotions going on but most of all I am just plain excited!!!! Jill

Hi, Ashley! Nice to meet you. I hope to be seeing you soon on the loser's bench, too! I can really relate to what you are going through. I hope they give us some good drugs to totally knock us out, because I think by then, I will really need it...it may be the only way that I can relax and not stress about it. I am starting my liquid diet tomorrow, because I was told to start it 10 days ahead of surgery, so that means tomorrow. I hope I can make it through. Good luck to you, too! Hang in there!

Mine is the 12th too! I am not outwardly nervous, but I think my body is starting to panic. I have been getting heartburn, I can't go right to sleep at night!! It's funny to think that in 11 days, we will be on the loser's bench!!! Why do you have to start your liquid diet this early by the way? Good luck to you!! ~Ash

hey, congrats... mine is on the 12th too. i too am nervous, but am going to keep focused on the decision i made when i was not so nervous. i am on the pre op diet day 3 now and am struggling with it quite a bit. i dont have any ideas to calm your stress, i am going to focus on the end result. good luck to you!
