Hey there,
I am also scheduled on the 26th. How exciting. For me this process started about two years ago. but actually started the approval process May this year.
Well I know that even though this is going to be a long and hard process, it will actually be worth it. I am fortunate that I do not need to do the liquid diet for two weeks just low carb diet for 3 weeks.
Wish you well with your surgery and see you on the other side.
Now go out there and be a loser. LOL

Hi Michelle. My date is Sept 26 too! Why the liquid diet? My surgeon hasn't said anything about being on a liquid diet before the surgery. You've had the courage to come this far I know you'll do what needs to happen before your surgery!!

Hello Michelle, My name is Joy and I also have a surgery date of Sept 26. I go for the per-op nutrition meeting on Tue the 6th. I am also going out to eat at all my favorite spotts and YES I am getting DESSERT. (LOL) I told my husband it is my fair well fat fest. The Dr. may not like it but I am eating whatever I want now to get it out of my system. So I know how you feel. Good Luck.

I started my two week liquid diet on the 1st, my surgery date is the 15th. I drink 3 slim fast shakes a day and then I am allowed to have water, crystal light, sugar free jello, sugar free popsicles and soup broth. It's very tough, I just keep my eye on the prize at the end!!!

My surgery is on the 15th, I started my liquid diet on the 1st. I'm gonna be honest with you it is very tough. It is not necessarily the food I miss but chewing. So, I have been chomping away on gum. Try to keep yourself busy and drink lots and lots of water or crystal light to help keep you full. And, if you need any support email me, I'm here for ya girl!!! You can do it, keep your eye on the prize at the end!!!
