My surgery is on the 14th and BOY have I had the same problem. I have tried to get everyone in the household to be ready..........AND FOR WHAT!!!!! I am coming home. AND I have done the craziest things, bathed the dog, washed the curtains, and cleaned out the icebox! NOW my dogs are famous for going more than a few weeks with dusty paws, my curtains NEVER look white, and EVERYONE knows that you don't open my icebox!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT.........................I can't help it. Nesting IS what it is called and I am glad you pointed it out. I have been wondering around doing this all the while thinking that maybe its my subconscience telling me I won't make it through surgery and so some things need to be done beforehand. TALK ABOUT SICK!!! LOLOL

Why do they do this to us. I mean obviously we wouldn't have come to them if we didn't have a problem with this concept. OK OK OK I am doing it but I am not going to like it. LOL Well I am just wondering if it really is to shrink the liver or if its to test our commitment to the process. If you lose the weight.............YEAH good for you!!! If you don't .............shame shame shame on you, I don't think you are right for this surgery.
I HOPE its not that way. I haven't weighed since last Friday. I had gained a few ounces but I also was fixing to start my period so I had a lot of water weight on. But now, I just can't imagine how much I weigh. I haven't been able to be 100% committed. I mean I AM NOT eating anything bad. My total caloric intake yesterday was about 500. WHO CAN LIVE ON THAT. Actually I started feeling sick about an hour after my shake so my mom made me some boiled chicken. I had that with a spoon of fat free picante sauce on top and 1/8 cup of cheese. The hot sauce and cheese brought me up to about 500 calories total for yesterday. I can only pray that I am doing it. I already have work rearranged (as far as the dates go) and I don't think my job would appreciate me changing it up.
OK well I will leave you alone for now. But thanks sugar booger for letting me rant and chatting with me.

So, how's the no-Pepsi, no-caffeine, no-carbonation going? I hope you're sticking to it. I'm OK with no-Pepsi. I prefer diet pop. But, no-caffeine is going to kill me. I'll be a walking zombie. Think - Night of the Living Dead!
Tomorrow I see my PCP to pick up the results of all the tests I've had. My husband didn't realize that I was as serious about this surgery as I am until he found out how many needles I've subjected myself to. I have a serious needle phobia. In fact, the vampire that put my IV in for the cardiac stress test nearly had me passed out on the floor. Three people had to help me to the next room so they could lay me down on a bed. I was so relieved when I was finished with the last test.
Did you find out anything about the liquid diet?

Isn't it crazy? I'm not going to be bed bound for pete's sake. But I have this strange urge to get everything spotless - as if DH, 2 kids and a puppy will keep it clean for more than 5 minutes! Guess it's just nerves...

We are so on the same wave length. LOL I havent been so nervous about the surgery but everything else is driving me crazy. Getting the laundry all done house scrubbed down bills in order and paied. Its alldriving me CRAZY.

I'm right there with you girl. I have to be at the hospital at 6 am, and omg, is my tummy rumbling. A little nerves and a little fleet... lol See you on the loosing side!!!

My surgery is 13 days away and I have a sudden urge to "nest". I haven't felt this way since my last pregnancy at about 7 months. I feel like if I don't get the house in order, and even crazy things like windows washed, etc., that I'll never get to it again. Anyone else having crazy nesting urges??

No, I am not on a liquid diet. My doctor does not believe in them thank God! He feels that you should be going into surgery healthy and not run down. This is our last weekend before becomming loosers!!! Good luck!
