Hello Sheryl, Hey I can sympathize with you and I realize just like you that "even good change is still change" and we do have to greive the end of an old life syle. I am excited for you and the courage it takes to embrace a new endeavor. I have my surgery tomorrow and have gone through an array of thoughts and emotions...and yet tonight I feel remarkably calm and at peace...Good Luck to you and may your journey be smooth... God Bless!!! Elisa

My surgery day is Tuesday and I feel weird. I know I am ready and I am looking forward to getting through the surgery, but I feel sad and teary. Don't even want to eat and that is strange in itself. Maybe this is part of a grieving process for the change, even good change is still change. I just wanted to get this off my chest. Sheryl

Topic: 3 days out!
Hey folks! I had my surgery on Sept. 7(Thursday) I was so excited and nervous all at the same time! I was on a clear liquid diet for 2 days prior, and my surgery was not until around 4:30pm Thursday. I will be honest, I woke up in a lot of pain!! Dont get me wrong, Im not complaining, just giving a heads up. My pain was helped a lot by the meds, but yesterday(2 days out) was my hardest. I had soo much gas pain and was not able to expell it. If you experience this from your surgery(when they blow your stomach up) then be prepared for pain. My mother was amazing, and rubbed VERY lightly on my stomach which helped ease the gas pains and expell it. It feels so much better to get that out of your body. I am uping my protein and water intake, which is difficult but so important! Walking has been m best remedy! WALK WALK WALK! Take your time, but moving helps, even ifs its just around the room. hope this can help you!

I had my surgery on Thursday 9/7! I was quite nervous that morning, and soo hungry after two days of a clear liquid diet. But now, Sunday, Im soo much better. My first couple of days were rough. I was one of those with a lot of pain, especially gas pains. But today, is like a world of difference! And Im not hungry! Just looking forward to week two: tomato soups!!! hhahaha! best to you!!! you are in my prayers!

Ok_ I am doing the same thing. I was also wondering if I am having some sort of preminition or something. But it sounds as if it is quite common. I guess all the cleaning isn't so bad after all. I have 10 more days to go.
