Soooo Frustrated
I was stuck for a couple of weeks and I was eating my 3 meals a day and not losing a pound. I found myself hungry around 10 a.m and 3:30 pm; but a just ignored it. Finally I gave in and started to have a very small snack. And now I've been losing about 2-3 pounds a week (for the past couple weeks anyway). This is what I've done! Not sure if it helps or not!! But I've also read that you're losing again; so you've must of done something right!!
Hi Christine,
I too was stuck in my 5th & 6th month but then I just decided to watch exactly what I stuck in my mouth & the scale began to move. I am now 9 months post op & only 10# away from my goal weight. Even if you know you can now eat sugary type of things try your best to stay away from them as this will help the scale move some more. Getting enough protein will also move the scale too. Good luck & keep going! Phyllis
Hi,
Has your plateau broke yet? I am 10 months out and have been at the same weight for the past 2 months...my goal is 160 because I can carry it and look like someone who weighs 130....anything under 160 and i look sick....but I've been stuck between 171 and 174....yesterday it said 168 but I had some drinks the night before so i'm sure it was just dehydration...every month when its close to my period and i'm at 171 i pray that once my period starts i'll drop those 2 or 3 pounds and finally be in the 160's.....but it never happens.....its strange because i just bought a size 10 pants the other day......usually i'm in a 12.....i dont know whats going on but i do know that i can eat more then i think i should be......I'm eating cheeze-its as we speak.....
Yes, it finally broke. Hooray!! I'm losing more slowly and kind of in spurts now but it has happened. Of course, last week I had an emergency appendectomy and put on 8 lbs. from the IV fluids in the hospital (grrrr...) but it's gone now. I think when I wrote the original message I was stuck at -98 lbs. and now I am -114. I didn't really do anything different. My body just started losing again when it was ready.
