Is anyone else on a major plateau? I have been stuck for a month now. The other day, I thought it was over, I dropped 2 lbs. and today they are back!! grrrr.... Is it true that everything changes when you hit that 6 month mark? Will the way I've been eating not work anymore? I have some co-workers who had RNY and stayed at size 20 or 16 and I don't want to do that so I'm scared, scared, scared that I will be stuck here forever! In my head, I sort of know that this isn't going to happen but I'm also pretty freaked out about it. What if this is it for me? That would really suck!! I'm lacking 5 lbs. for my century mark. Talk about frustrating!! I guess I'm going to focus on eating nothing but protein today and getting my water in. Hopefully things will move. I'd be interested to hear any thoughts you guys might have. Hugs, Chrissy

Hey christine, I also was stuck on a plateau for about 4 to 5 weeks, up and down with the same couple of lbs was driving me crazy!!!! Finally since the day after Easter I started to lose again, I've lost 5lbs since then. I am now 11lbs away from the century club, I will also try to eat more protein and drink lots of water... I will be leaving for Fl. next Tuesday and I would love to lose 6 or 7 more lbs, I can alway HOPE!!! Well good luck with your weight loss, I'm sure you will start moving again soon. Minette

Thanks, Minette! I'm just so happy to hear that I am not alone. This morning the 2 lbs were gone again so I guess that's a good sign. Have fun on your trip to FL! I always lose during vacation because of all the extra activity. I love it!! Hopefully it will work the same way for you. Hugs, Christine

Wow, Karen...WTG!! That sounds great but I'm already up at 5. Maybe I'll have to give up one of my jobs in favor of going to the gym. Some nights I don't get home until 7 and they're all closed then. I live in a pretty rural area. I guess it's time to get religious about my workout dvd's. Summer will be better. Most of my piano students take the summer off and I will have much more time then. Thanks for responding! Chrissy

Hey Christine, I have also been there, I am 7 months out and about 6lbs away from the 100 mark! I go through a bit of that every month, I drop a few lbs in a week then sit like a duck for like 2 weeks, somehow it picks up right at the end of the month! It's like my body knows 'she's gonna blow a gasket if we don't pick up the pace!' I concur with the other ladies, you definatly need to start getting into the habit of hibitual exercise... you think it's rough now.. this is how it will be from here on out- MAJORLY dependent on exercise. The weight loss slows and if your not doing your part it will stay slow or constant. I see that now if I decide to skip the gym-granted the scale doesn't go up but it's the honeymoon phase, milk it for all it's worth sister! Good Luck!

Yes most everything changes...hay you can eat again right...lol and NO your NOT done ! Now is the time to reflect and make changes and step things up again. Think about what you were taking in 6 months ago, not much need to work the body to get rid of it again, now most everyone should be back on food again and you will have to adjust for it. *Add 8 more oz of water a day and 10-15 more min of activity a day (even if it's just a walk around the block) *go over your eating plan, anything sneaking in that shouldn't be? extra carbs, easy food, salt, less water, soda? I had surgery in Sept 05 and was losing up until I got pregnant , some of the group reached goal, some other got to within 20 lbs of goal and thought they were done but then lost more later on. Each person is different and will lose differently but no your not done till you give up and accept being done. Good Luck and stay focused! Shel
