Finally!
Today I made it to the Century Club!!!!! I have lost 101 lbs since starting this journey. Only 9 more lbs till my doctors goal. If anyone out there can make me a card or tell me where I can find one I would be very grateful.
The last month has been tough with a long stall and finally I made it to this point. Everyday I keep in mind how far I have come My reward is now being a size 12 jeans and a L/M **** size. I am very proud of myself for that. Thank you to all who have helped me along the way.

Hi Michelle,
I am so impressed with your weight loss. I just decided to check out this forum for Sep 06 surgeries, as mine was performed on 9/29/06. I have lost about 50 pounds. It is so hard not to compare ourselves to others, but may I ask if you "dieted"? I have eaten mostly good foods, 85 % of the time I made good choices. I haven't been to the gym, but I walk a LOT and I try to get my water in daily. How did you lose so much so quickly? I am so impressed and hope to hear back from you.
Thanks,
Patti
Hi Patti,
Thank you for the kind words. I have not "dieted". I have made some choices on what to try and what not to try. I try to stay protirn focused. I do need carbs but limit them to whole grains. I make my own food with minimal fats. I experiment with cooking what I like. It can be hit and miss but its mostly hits. I go to the gym 2-3 times a week. Some times i get weak and choose things I can do with out but I also dont deprive myself. If you want to talk more feel free to pm me.

Patti, you had the Lap Band as opposed to the RNY. If Michelle had the RNY, that would definatly answer your question. In my research, the lap band was more so recommended for folks who didn't have huge ammounts to loose since you only have that 1-2 year time frame. I was all for the lap band until I did my research-I began at 312lbs and it just wasn't going to get me down to an ideal weight in a year's time.
