How much have you lost? and how are you feeling?
Well it's been 4 months...(it will be on the 7th) I've lost 82lbs, I have 45ish to go (at least that's what the surgeon says). I'm wondering how everyone else is doing. We had a death in the family over the holidays, so I had to reschedule my 3 month appt. I'm finding I'm having some strange effects lately. I feel very light headed quite often and very... I don't know slightly confused, I'm forgetting little things more than I used to. I am very careful to get enough water, veggies, fruit and protein daily and all my vitamins. I walk 2+ miles daily and do water aerobics and lift weights 3 times per week. I'm not sure what's going on, but my doc appt is in 3 weeks so we'll see what the blood work says then. Anyone else feeling this?
Also, starting to get some very hanging skin, on my belly where the stretch marks from my son are, inner thighs, upper under arms. Anyone else noticing this yet?
Other than that I'm doing well. I went skiing New Year's Eve, haven't done that in 20 years. I certainly felt it in my knees for a few days after, but 6 months ago I could not even consider it. Went to FL and visited family and Sea World, noticed a big difference walking the park all day... it didn't even bother me. I'm very thankful for the difference in my health. I'm hoping i just need to change my diet a bit. We'll see.
So..... let's see how you all are doing....?

Hi!
Overall I'm feeling GREAT!! I've lost 57 since surgery plus the 32 I lost before makes 89 for 2006!!
I think I've hit a bit of a plateau......scales haven't moved in a couple of days but I'm doing the plan and I know it will move eventually.
I'm back in the office I started with this company in 1999 and several people told me I look like I left 1/2 of me back in Alabama!! I love hearing that!!
Lots of skin hanging and I have probably 80 more pounds to go so, I will definitely be pursuing plastic surgery in my future.
I am glad I made the effort to research and go thru with WLS and wish I had done it a LONG time ago!!

I am almost 4 months out and have lost 55 lbs since surgery and 23 pre surgery. I feel great accept for a cold that I have had for a week. I too have noticed saggy skin on arms, inner thighs, tummy and lower butt cheeks. In a couple of months I plan to increase my exercise to include some weights to hopefully tighten up some of those areas.
Hi Renee! I am having a bad case of the hanging skin too...Arms and rear end..woo.
I am down 97 pounds to date. I am doing good so far. I feel alot better. My vitamins are going well and last blood work was good. I need to add a little more protein. Any suggestions? I have had a little of the forgetfulness too...Not too bad, but I will let the doc know next appointment ...
Congrats on your success!!!

Hi,
I am down 51 lbs since surgery, and feeling great! I joined Ballys fitness today and worked out for 30 mins without losing my breath...I am not losing alot of inches yet, so I don't have the hanging skin, but I am sure that it'll come soon enough. I do feel light headed sometimes, but had my 3 mth check up today and blood work was normal. I am going to my 1st pilates class tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes!

I had my surgery on 9/25. Pre-op I lost about 45 pounds, and all together i've lost 114.
about the light-headedness, I recently found out that light headedness is caused by low blood pressure, especially if it's the kind that you get when you stand up suddenly. In our cases it's most likely that our low blood pressure is caused by dehydration. Since I found this out I've been trying harder to get all of my water in and it's been much better.
Other than that and struggling to get my protein in, everything's going well!
