Weight loss going great 51 pounds at 6 weeks. Off of glucophage for diabetes. Hoping to be off of blood pressure medication soon. Still throwing up occassionally. Frustrated with having to eat soooooo slowly. But all-in-all loving my shrinking body and my new outlook. Vicki

WOW that is sooooo great.I hate the slow eating. I'm a hair stylist and we shovel food between clients. I do protein drinks when at work to avoid this.

Oddly, my surgeon does not allow protein supplements after surgery. He wants us to eat real food.

I was DX with insulin resistance a year ago. Last spring my insulin level was 125, two weeks ago it was 22 (high end of normal is 19). My cholestrol was 217 in August (3 weeks before surgery) and now it is 171. My other cholestrol levels are excellent (I can't remember the names of them). All my other labs were fine pre-surgery and still are now. I had some minimal aches in my knees and they are gone too.

I didnt have any co-morbidities before surgery. But I do feel a whole lot better and am down 43 pounds. Started at a size 22 and am now wearing a very comforable 16. Life is good.
