Hi Everyone I had my lap RNY on Sept 12th and up until this week i was feeling fine. Now everything is making me feel nauseated. I can eat but sometimes after i feel so nauseated and it comes and goes. Sometimes i dont even want to eat because of this.. i am eating right and what i am told and how much i am suppose to eat so i know its not caused by poor food choices or overeating. Earlier on when i first started solids i never had this issue.. anyone else going through this? I cant complain because i have lost 48 lbs in the 7 weeks but still the nausea can be really annoying Pam

I've heard that you can drink some mint tea and sometimes that takes away the nausea. Also, your surgeon should be able to give you some meds for nausea if it's really bad. Some people get this and some don't. I'm in my 7th week also (Sept. 11) and it seems to me that everyday is totally different from the last. Hang in there and congrats on your weightloss. Hugs, Donna

I am starting to feel the same way. I don't like to eat anymore and I think most of it is because I'm so sick of eating the same things. YUCK!!! I am going to see my doc on Friday so if I get any answers I will share them with you.

I had my surgery sept 11, I get sick often , I dont like eating either, I dread it i am afraid ill get sick from it. so i make good choices too. I dont skip meals I am really careful about the texture of food. I got really sick last saturday i couldnt hold anything down that day and my husband called my surgeon and he said it was food caught and it would pass , it passed by the next morning. They way i look at it no one said this surgery would be easy. So take it day by day and with stride and be proud of the weight you have lost and the weight you will loose.

if the nausea persists, talk to your doc about phenegran. its an anti-nausea med and it truely helps for nausea caused by reasons other than food being stuck or something like that. Some people can smell something and get nauseated.
