Hi, I am almost 7 weeks out and have been ok'd by my doctor to eat "normal" food. I just don't know what to eat. I want to eat healthy stuff, but I am so sick of the same old things I have been eating. I was just wondering what everyone else is eating. Maybe I will get some idea's for different foods. Thank you so much for you replies!! Rachael

I like anything seasoned with Taco seasoning. Hamburger or chicken. I also like FF refried beans with cheese. Shrimp with butter and I also eat either chicken or tuna salad with lite miracle whip. Oh and a lot of string cheese.

Do you put milk in your cereal? I was wondering about eating cereal. I discovered today that I can make a bean burrito w/ a tortilla, FF beans, salsa and sour cream. I made it with this low carb tortilla I found, it was pretty good. Thanks for the ideas.

I munch on Kashi Go lean cereal in the mornings, its 13g protein per cup. I can't eat a whole cup but u know what I mean. Also, I do a lot of chili. Got a recipe for taco meatballs with a cubed cheddar cheese inside, which should be good... I also do lunch meat cheese rollups, shrimp sauteed, and last night i had spaghetti made with spaghetti squash!! It was sooo yummy and no carbs. I didn't miss the noodles at all. Just remember to get your protein in. Baked fish is good; tilapia is very high in protein. Be creative. Google some WLS recipes and get excited about cooking again. Build good habits...i fell into a trap with tortilla chips......i'm rehabbing now Hope this helps

Meat (except fish) doesn't sit so well with me. I eat a lot of soy. Mashed potatoes are great. Shashemi(sp?) sushi without the rice- goes down really well. but you have to have a taste for it. It's definately a trial & error thing.
