YA THAT HAPPENED TO ME! lol I usually am on the August board or the RNY one, but just check out the Sept board this morning. I had surgery on Aug 29th. In 2 weeks I had lost15, then 5 the next and on week 3 nothing...and week four nothing....then another 5, then 2 - 3 pounds each week after that, I think I am down about 35 pounds in 6 weeks. It may not be as fast as some but after that initial stall it seems to be coming off steadily now. My point...I stalled, and panicked at week 3 too. A lot on the August board did. Someone said it is common from weeks 3 to 6 to have a stall for a week or two. If you look at previous posts in the August board you will see a lot worried about the same thing. Hang in there, most said make sure you get your water and protein in...and it will come off..good luck! Cindy

My wife had surgery on 9/6 and she had been going through a stall for about a week. This morning she came upstairs and said, "the scale finally moved!" so we're hoping it over and she'll start going down again. I had surgery on 9/25 and I also had a stall last week. I only lost one pound all week, which is different for me becuse I've been loosing a pound or two a day at first. One thing that we starting thinking was that we knew we weren't getting the protein in, and probably not enough calories, so we thought our bodies might be going into starvation mode and so we stopped loosing. Over the weekend we tried to keep better track and boost those things. I think it made a difference. Everything that I've heard, though is it's very normal to stall occassionally. Especially if you're making the transition to some solid foods now. Let your body have a break from loosing every now and then to adjust itself. It'll start up again soon. oh, and don't weigh yourself every day if you can help it.

Hi, I'm 5 weeks post op, I've lost 30 pounds in 4 weeks but this last week the scale hasnt moved. If it doesn't move within the next week then I'm going to have to change something, whether it be add more protein, water, or switch up my exercise video that I've been doing. I'll let you know if it breaks a plateau. Keep up the good work!! Next summer we'll all be hotties!! See ya, Rachel

I will be one month post op on 9/21, I was losing the first 3 weeks and then actually gained 3-4 lbs I had a fill last week and feel hungry as ever, but I am still on liquids. I wonder if I will feel the restriction from the fill once I start on solids, any advice. Thanks, Denise

Yep - me too. Lost 25 lbs in the first 3 weeks and then nothing the fourth week. I am definitely losing inches though. I finally had my bf put the scale in our locked storage closet and I'm only going to weigh on Saturdays. I was getting way to frustrated by it. I'm loving the way my size 20 jeans fit now though. I couldn't even think about getting in them pre-op.
