Well, I've made it!!!! I had open R-Y, gallbladder, and a hernia fixed!!! Good grief.....talk about killing 3 birds.....lol! Anyway, I am home now (I've been home since Wednesday) and I'm tired of pudding. This morning, I had a really hard time because my family made eggs and toast, and it smelled AMAZING...and there sat my jello and pudding....and I just started to CRY. Anyone else feeling sad that they can't eat??? I know it won't be long before pureeds..and then back to real food, but I had a let-down this morning. Hope everyone else is doing GREAT!!! Anne

Hang in there! The puree stage will be there before you know it. It won't be the last time your family makes eggs and toast, I would imagine. You'll be able to join them before you can blink an eye! - started purees 4 days ago

SOOO been there. I am on soft moist foods and have been for a week. What a difference chewing makes.Hang in there I finally feel like I am eating somewhat normal things and can eat with my family. Maybe abit motified but I don't feel so alienated anymore.

I surprised myself and was able to cook shrimp and chkn for my hubby and it did not faze me a bit! Those are my favorite by the way. The problem that I am having is that I am sooooo thirsty I wanna cry. I try water but it is super hard to get down. I sip and nothing quenches my thirst except maybe a popsicle but after its gone im back to square one~very frustrating~
