GASTRIC SLEEVE

Have a scheduled date for gastric sleeve surgery on nov.7th . Really starting to get nervous know that have the date. Will be self-pay since ins. Wouldnt cover the cost. Applied for credit from medprov and also emed loan . I would rob a bank if I had too. Well I would like to hear from anyone who the sleeve anytime any advice is welcome. Thanks.

Hi Janice, I am going to have the VSG on Sept 27th. It will be my docs first and the hospitals first. I don't know how you do it and pay for it too. My insurance is Blue Cross Federal Employees Retired program. The office nurse said, "don't worry they pay for all of it"......that must be a first too................(((((((((((hugs,)))))))))))Joyce

Hi Janice, I had my gastric sleeve or vsg on 9/19 and all I can say is that I LOVE it. When I came out of anastesa (sp?) and didn't feel like they did anything too me, even the gas pain that everyone gets no matter what procedure they have was no big deal. If you haven't found it yet, there's a forum just for us vsg people, you can find the answers to any of your questions here by people who have gone before you and they are a great bunch of people. hi Paul thanks for the really good insights on info for the sleeve. i was thinking of getting the band. after reading some the negs i decided the go with the skeeve. Everything is moving along i got the loan for the surgery, so i am good to go. how are you feeling after the first couple of days of your surgery? Congrats on securing the loan, it will be money very well spent. hi Paul, been reading some of ur post i seen that u went to Cape May NJ Iam orginally form Phila. so Cape May , Margate , Wildwood just to name a few of Jersey hot spots where I used to Vacation at. Just thought u would liike to know that. Iguess it kinda makes me homesick when I see all the familiar places. I usually try to go home a least twice a year. Well i guess ur feeling pretty good so stay healthy. Janice.
