Bummed about Family reaction!

Hi, Just wanted to see how you're doing since your surgery!! I hope all went well. I just had mine on Sept 12th. I had lap RNY and after 1 week I was down 17 pounds and moving around like I hadn't had surgery. My mom was the one that would tell me my kids are going to be orphans, everyone she's known of that's had the surgery has had complications/death, etc.....she had my kids all scared and everything. Now she see's she was wrong about the surgery and is supportive of me losing the weight. I hope your father came around and sees that you made the best possible decision for yourself. Thanks for all of your responses. i am doing well 6 days post op. I am up and almost at 'em. A little weak but my appetite is picking up where I can nourish myself AND get in all the vitamins. I will say that the support of my OH family is phenomenal. This is my first time back at my computer and the very first site I went to. I cannot say enough how it has eased the burden of being alone. My mom is bringing dad around but i am not worried about it. I made a decision for ME. My long life and good health will be proof enough for anybody who feels otherwise!
