Newbie with date anxiety! Help!!!

I am new to this site and I have been approved by my insurance comapny, I recieved the approval letter today, and on it it shows dates that I am approved for the hospital visit. This may sound stupid but is this date set in stone? The reason I ask is bc the date is 09/29/06 and I would LOVE for that to be the case but I am afraid my surgeon has not confirmed this. i think I am worring for nothing but I see alot of folks with dates that are 30 days or more and was concerned that my "wait" would be extended even more. I guess you'd call me nervous, and impatient but I wanna know! My doctors nurse said she will call me tomorrow but I wanna know now lol.

Thanks for responding Kathy, I nearly drove myself mad last night but GUESS WHAT I have a date!!!!! Its even better than I imagined. My date is 09/26/06! Just 1 week away I am so excited I don't know what to do with myself. I need to get an idea of what I need to have at home/take to the hospital. Hopefully I can get some good advice.

I'm really glad you got good news . My surgery is two days after yours . I'm on the 10 day liquid diet . It hasn't been too bad . I bought myself the cutest slippers at Target tonigt . They are pink with a tiny bit of black trip . They have sheep jumping over a fence . They don't match the robe I bought (sage green) but I don't care . I'll take magazines I won't read , lip balm , lotion , brush , toothbrush , tooth paste & maybe a travel size package of baby wipes . Take care . Kathy

oooh ! congratulations ! how nice to not have weeks and weeks of waiting.. ..my date is the 25th.....anyway , ditto on the nervous and impatient ....and now that I'm on the 10 day diet - hungry !

Thaks congrats to you too! I just got my date and my pre op with my surgeon is on Friday. I am not on any special diet they just said no asprin or smoking. Good luck I hope your surgery is uneventful.
