Excited, Nervous and Supported

My surgery is 2 weeks from today -Sept. 6. Everytime I say it, I get more nervous. At the same time, I am very excited about getting healthy! I am so thankful for these message boards. It's so nice to be able to "talk" to others that can relate to what I'm going through. I have been very open about my surgery and have told everyone I come in contact with - almost everyone has been very supportive. My mom was leery at first - just afraid of the unknown. Now that she has done some reading and talking to others- she feels much better. I hesitate to let her know how nervous I am, for fear of scaring her. I am so close to both my parents and they will be coming in for my surgery. I know they will be able to see through my anxieties. I am praying for a peace so I don't "freak" everyone else out. My wonderful hubby of 24 yrs. is my #1 supporter. I don't know where I'd be without him. Thank God, both of my beautiful children and my 3 very special sisters are very supportive too. Everyone (including ME) is excited about the prospect of having me healthy! Good Luck to all you Sept. surgeries. I am praying for all of us!
