9/11 is the day!

I went in today for the pre-surgical appt and they told me that I am scheduled for 9/11.

Sharon Thanks! When do you do your pre-op? Are you doing anything prescribed in terms of weight loss prior to surgery! I wish you all the best!

Elisa? Did the day give you pause? It did for me but I am so excited about a new start that I quickly decided I would prefer sooner rather than later and it gives me something positive to celebrate on 9/11. When do you go in for your pre-op appt?

9/11 always gives me pause...before the attack and after...for me personally 9/11 is a day to be greatful for now and forever...My wedding vows were blessed that day in '99, my cousin was born '74, and now RnY in '06...What a day! My pre-op appt is on the 31st of Aug...Too long if you ask me I want to know it all now. Although I was given some great advise tonight in fact be someone who had the surgery on 9/16/05...She said to slow down and take it all in...enjoy the process...because before you know it it's all a blur...I'm trying not to jump the gun... Good Luck with your surgery and all the "business" before hand....Keep us posted!!!

ME TO0!!! ME TOO!!! My day is also 9/11. Funny how alot of people go ohhh 9/11 on no!!!! I was alittle weirded out at first but my mom was quick to remind me that when all of that terrible stuff was going on I was at the DRs getting my long awaited ultra sound on my youngest daughter.We had gotten back testes that said something was wrong with her.It was that horrible day that I got the great and wounderful news that she was fine. The day will be great for all of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy surgery!!!!!!

Amy, I'm a 9/11 too!!! I'm very excited and like you 9/11 has been a good date in the past, for me it's givin me reason to be greatful....Good Luck and we all will journey together!!!
