Hi Tracy,
This happens to me ALL the time. I'll be doing something and all of a sudden I get all light headed, shaky and sweaty. Mostly shaky. I don't have a meter, so I don't know how low my sugar is going.
I don't use sugar to get it up, I usually have a cheese stick and a s/f yogurt w/fruit and then I feel better. I do rest when it happens, too.
I'm gonna tell my surgeon when I see him later this month. He'll want me to see the dietitian, I'm sure.
Let me know what your PCP says, ok?
I know of other RNY people that are having this, too. One told me the dietitian told her she needed to do more "good" carbs, 100gms a day, to not get it and to eat more often throughout the day to avoid it.

Tanya you are looking great as well. Wasn't it great not to need a seatbelt extender on your Vegas flight. WOOOHOOO. I actually sat in the center seat the last time I flew with out touching either side. I was so excited, haven't done that since I was in high school.

Hi everyone 
Well, I have been doing just fine. I went Thursday for my TT consult. The doctor told me that I am a great candidate. He said I shouldn't have any problems with my insurance paying It was a bit humiliating--naked pictures are just not my thing lol. It is all worth it though. I am hoping to have my surgery the middle of June. Just after my daughter is out of school. She is going to be 8...she will help Momma.
On another note...last Tuesday I wasn't feeling very well. I started to get extremely shaky...I was attempting to eat peanut butter crackers at the time--I just wasn't feeling any better; so I went to the nurse's station ( I work at a nursing home) and had them check my sugar. It was down to 47. I guess this is way, way low. They were trying to get me to drink OJ with sugar in it....I refused...I did just drink the OJ... I told them the sugar would send my stomach over the edge, and it would come right back up.
Has anyone else had this problem? I have an appointment with my Primary care physician on Monday. Her nurse thought I should be seen right away. I am a little concerned about this.

It seems the more energy I get the more work try's to suck it out of me. I am going to have to talk to my boss about that. Oh wait, darn I am the boss. haha. Everything is great. Went hunting and was able to hike 10-12mile vertical hills with out any pains or even feeling exhausted. Life is good. Any pics?

glad to hear from you. I often wondered how you were doing. It seems the further out we get the less we hear from our group. I do try to check in everyday and at least read the posts.
So how's everything going with you?
This surgery has been a God Sent for me. I now can live my life. As I'm sure we all feel the same way.

Topic: was sick
Hi everyone,
I was sick with an intestinal virus for two days and it included a fever. Everyone else was throwing up but I didn't have that part of it, just the other part.
But what I found ugh was that while sick I just wanted the comfort food, "the CARBS".
I thought it was just me being bad but today I'm all better and I realized it wasn't me being bad, it was just my sickness reverting me back to my old ways of comfort.
Today I was back to my NEW way of life.
Thank GOD for that. I was really nervous the past two days that I would wreck this surgery, just like I did every other diet. But now I feel better. And the next time I'm sick I'll try to ... I don't know but at least now I'm aware of it. This was my first time sick since surgery.
Well, hope everyone's doing fine.

Topic: Still around.
Hey all I am still around. Still staying in the 192-197 range. Feeling great, had to get a motorcycle with heated seat and grips since I am always cold. Guess that will be great in the summer months here in Arizona.
