What are you doing for exercise. I think that has really helped me. I eat much more than most folks on the list admit to, but I work out at least 4 mornings a week. I just get up before work and do it. I don't even hate it anymore--alghough I did when I started. It is just something I have to do. I've seen myself really progress. Consider buying Bob Green's total body make over and giving it a try for 3 months.....
Don't beat yourself up, just stop eatting the stuff you shouldn't. Best of luck.

What kind of cocoa do you buy? does it mix in with the coffee? Sounds wonderful. I've been buying the flavored sugar free syrups, but this sounds better.

Yummy on the sweet potatoes. I'm going to try that. You know Micha if I didn't have protein supplement I wouldn't get enough protein at all. I just have a lousy menu. Even my favorite cottage cheese, cool whip and jello doesn't work for me anymore. Thanks for this suggestion!

My favorite way to cook sweet potatoes is to bake them at 400 for like 3 hours. The sugar in them carmelizes, can you say YUM. If I'm short on time, I poke it and stick it in the microwave for about 6 minutes or until it gets pretty soft, then I throw it in the oven for 1/2 hour on 450 to finish. I eat it with butter, splenda brown sugar and cinnamon. I've also found that using full fat cheese, sour cream and butter instead of margarine, I feel more satisfied. I don't use any protein supplements, I hate them all. Even Power Crunch bars which everyone raves over YUCK. Sometimes I wish I did like them because meat doesn't always sit well with me -

Hey Micha, the latte sounds yummy. A little too much work for me to do at home though, I am totally lazy. Another question -- okay, how do you cook the sweet potatoes? You can tell I'm having trouble. I hate to say this cause it is unusual I think, but I don't eat enough!! I get in alot of protein mostly by protein drinks, but I don't eat much dense protein. I am a little concerned and want to expand a bit (my menu, not me!!!).
I'm like you Micha, I have never tested myself with sugar and for that I am thankful. I stay within the 10 grams or under. Sugar was a major downfall for me and I don't want to go back to that.
My knee is good - I think I' finally healing!! When Greg came home from work yesterday I danced a little boogie for him and said 'look at me, I can dance'!! I'm such a dork!! Take care of that little Mr. Thumb!! That must be hard to use the computer!!

Michelle, I am in the same place you are. I have gained 7 pounds from July. I was obsessed with my weight and the surgery, according to friends and family. So I put away the scale and tried to live "normal" I didn't weigh myself every day, and started to just eat. I even gave up posting here all the time.
Well.... you see what that got me. So Monday I decided to go back to the way it was when I first had the surgery. I weigh myself every morning. I know that it goes up and down and can live with that. I also have started back exercising every day. Monday - Wednesday was very rough... today I feel great. The last is I am back tracking my food and exercise on fitday.com. Yesterday I watched what I ate and was shocked to see that I had put away 1373 calories.... OMG.... that was with being careful. So obviously I am not good at meal planning without some help. I have also set up getting back to support group. I had to get my surgeon to start a group on another day other than Tuesday, I am looking forward to that again.
So my first advice is don't go away from this support... Then get back to basic's. Become obsessed again. I gave myself a short term goal of two weeks and am psyched when I make it through they day. You did it before and you can do it again.

Excellent idea - The only exercise I get is walking - my comfort foods are cheese and tomatoes. Cheese for the protein and tomatoes to fill up. Oh and I don't eat low fat either
