I do know there is a big issue about carbs. Here is what i know. Michael Thurmond who if you dont know is the guy who does the six week body makeover and does all the physical training stuff for extreme makeover says carbs in moderation are good as long as they are natural carbs not processed carbs. Ie potatos rice whole wheat products, oatmeal ... we need these stay away from chips crackers too much bread ... These are my favorites and im dealing with them. You can also go to sixweekbodymakeover.com and take a little body typing quiz and figure out what body type you are his theory is that eveyone is different and different food combos effect us each differently. Its pretty interesting.

I just had a tummy tuck, inner thigh lift and lipo last friday, sounds like you getting around a little better than me but each day is getting better. Hopefully it won't be too long and we'll be both shopping. I had 7 lbs removed and 2 liters of fat from lipo. I can't wait to see the results, I still have a bit of swelling, and one more drain letf out of 4. Gooddluck with everyting.

Yep, I was in a rut too. I was stuck between 149 and 152 for weeks and weeks. Now that my TT and BR are 5 weeks away, my surgeon told me the more weight I lose now the happier I will be with my results, so that really kicked my butt into gear! I weighed 147 yesterday, a new all-time low! My goal is to be down to between 141-143 before my surgery, and then hopefully he will remove the 6-8 lbs he estimated and I will be at my new *revised* goal weight of 135. My original goal weight was 140, but I think I'll be happier if I'm 5 lbs less than that. So I've really been watching what I eat and trying to get more protein in. It seems weird to be dieting, but it is so much easier to diet now than before because of this powerful tool we now have! Oh, and HUGE thank you to Paula for showing me how to water load, that has been key!
Good luck to all of us

First, CONGRATS! You look great, so much smaller through the waist too. And I am amazed you have barely any swelling!
I am having a tummy tuck and breast reduction on December 15th. The surgeon did tell me I would have a better result having a fleur de lis operation (anchor cut), but I do not scar well and am opting for just the bikini scar. My result won't be quite as good, but it will still be very nice, plus he automatically does the mons lift so yay for me. I'm assuming you had the abdominal muscle tightening, how does that feel? Do you feel stronger now, or really tight?
Four drains though, wow! I'm only getting two, I wonder if it's because you have that vertical incision? And who knew that drain would go so far up! I am really dreading the drains, the one I had didn't hurt after my WLS but it was very painful when he took it out. Oh well, it's the price we pay!
Congrats again, and thanks a lot for sharing

Topic: WOW~~~ 53 years old and climbing walls!!!
today, my youngest son and his wife and my DH and I all went to the climbing wall here in Wilmington. Guess which 2 climbed the thing? and rang the bell? Well it wasn't DH and it wasn't my daughter-in-law!
One of them was ME!!! I went in there, didn't have to worry about a harness that would fit, strapped that thing on and with my heart in my throat I said Belay, got the affirmative, said CLIMBING and my belayer said 'Climb On', and up I started. It was a little scary half way up the 35 foot wall, but then I just kept going, telling myself this is part of the whole journey...It was wonderful...what a sense of accomplishment! Matthew of course, moved right on to the nearly horizontal walls, but I stayed on the wall next to the kiddie wall and went up 3 more times... a real thrill to say I can do this!
Y'all run with me on this journey and find something you never thought you could do and DO IT! what fun and what a wonderful boost to my self esteem.
Take care...thanks for letting me share with you!
