Congrats  sounds like you are doing a great job.  The WLS also saved my life.   I had a mild heartattack in feb of 05 due to my size and the cardiologist told me if i wanted to see my next birthday i needed to do something about my weight. so thats when i got in contact with a doctor and got this ball a rolling.   Keep up the good work and take care

Yesterday was my  3 year anniversary.  But much like the way I have been handling my eating lately, I just didn't have time to do what I was supposed to do(take time to write).  I have fallen back into many of my old habits.  Mostly drinking soda.  I still can not eat a whole lot, so I have maintained at about 158-which I am not happy about.  Ideally I would like to be at 145, but I can not get the self control to do what I should be doing and stop the soda.  As I have mentioned several times I got down to about 135, but that was too skinny.

One of the major changes I have made in my life since I had my surgery is that I have started cutting people lose in my life that bring around bad Karma.  I no longetr talk to the person that I thought was my best friend for probably the last 15 years.  I think alot of it was because I was so insecure that because she was skiiny and pretty I liked to be around her and it didn't matter how she treated me.  Sometimes I am sad because I pretty much built my  world around being a good friend to her and now that I realize that she just wasn't good for me  I just have nothing to say to her.  I miss her but I do not miss the drama.  I really don't have that many other friends either, but I guess no really good friends is better than one really bad one.

Today is my birthday too it's also been a long ride but I can say a good one to, I started out at 467lb and 229 and like to be 180 and the last is the hardest I haven't gained any and when I seen my doctor last my weight was 254 so I would say am still do oh ok.. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2 YOU

I feel like a whole new person. I stepped on my scales this morning and I have lost a total of 377 lbs. I am smaller now then I was when I was in the 8th grade.  A couple days ago I had a high school teacher come up to me and ask " are you Cindy " I said "yes I am"   and she didn't believe me so I showed her my drivers license and then showed her my before surgery picture and then she believed me. Made me feel great.

Hi! Its been three years,,isnt that hard to believe? I still would do it all again in a heartbeat! I got down to 193 for about five mintues, then bounced up to 197 (size 14 for me) and stayed there till this past year. Now Im at 207, was 212. It was lack of exercise and eating carbs that did it. Im in a size 16 a the bottom now, so Im working on it.
Hubby was just diagnosed as pre diabetic, so the doc recommended a diet. I went to Weigh****chers and joined so I could get the stuff for him. He cant go to the meetings due to work hours, so I put him on it at home. Its helping me be accountable too. (The CORE plan is almost like we WLS people are supposed to eat anyway.) Hubby isnt morbidly obese so surgery is out for him, so this works. 
I never did reach my personal goal. although the doctor said I would stop around 190 pounds probably, due to my age (58 at the time of surgery) but I wanted to be around 175. So far this week I have lost 4 pounds, so the pouch still works!
