Topic: RE: what did you eat yesterday?
Hey Shel, great job yesterday!! I didn't do too bad myself, but I don't count calories.... I had mostly turkey (probably 3 oz.), some filling-3 bites, and about two bites of mashed potatoes. With gravy on all that. Later I had a small peice of cherry pie ( I made it so it was NSA and low fat) and even later, a piece of pumpkin pie (NSA lowfat too). About 9 pm I did have a turkey sandwhich ( I stayed up til about 12, as usual for me). I wasn't trying watch what I ate, I just kept in mind that I'd be uncomfortable if I ate too much, and I wanted to avoid that, especially since I was hosting. Hope everyone had a great holiday!

I had turkey and ham and stuffing, mashed taters, cranberry sauce, chocolate pudding pie, pumkin pie, cool whip, sweet taters and with breakfast and lunch and a piece of raspberry lemon pie for a snack last night my entire day only added up to less then 1200 calories. And no I didn't feel any guilt at all just ate and enjoyed me day with family. Protion control is everything i guess And this morning I weighed 256, but i bet it won't stay it never does the first time...lol And I came home and went for a walk and on the way back the 9 yr old and I were runnin and playin tag, and we even went "jogging" half a block...hehe I kinda felt sorry last night for those who ate thier way into discomfort and oblivian and couldn't go and play with the kids Shel

Michelle, Glad to hear all the good stuff. I had a lovely Thanksgiving with friends who invited their German friends too.( I live in Germany currently). It is always interesting to share American Holidays with Germans who are so curious about us Americans. Anyway, it was a difficult time as the Holidays are for me, but I am so Thankful for HEALTH and SAFETY. I am also thankful for this wonderful forum. I hope everyone was careful about how much they ate...I was... I cannot stand the result of overeating and live in fear of dumping so I ate the correct amount...tasted everything even desserts but just a taste. Thanks to all who are on this forum. hugs, jacqueline

yep, this morning when I got on the scale (which I do EVERY morning since surgery), I hit 145. That's been my goal. I started at 282. I've lost 137 lbs and 102 inches. I feel wonderful. And my surgeon told me my goal was unrealistic 'for a woman my age'...he thought 165 was a better goal. Now I really would like to get to 141 first, because then I'd be 'half the woman I used to be!' and then I would really like to get to 137, since then I would be 'normal' and not overweight! Hope all of you have had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

Topic: HAPPY TURKEY DAY!!!
I just wanted to wish everyone a happy thanksgiving!!! Let us remember not to throw up today because we over did it!! Portion control is our friend. (Talking to self also) heheh..We have all come a long way and I am thankful to be able to be here without diabetes and be able to move around and enjoy the day with everyone instead of being miserable because I Was too fat to move. This is the first year I am really on top of being prepared for everything without stressing out. I would like to hear what everyone else is thankful for today!!!

I am stuck at 225/26 and can't move either. I think it's the weather , our bodies are getting ready for hibernation... I need a kick in the butt to get myself moving. But now my daughter is back to work so I will get moving trying to keep grandson occupied... and keep him from writing on my freshly painted walls.. Sandy

Topic: RE: 14 month bathing suit pics
Wow thanks everyone, you really make me feel better. I can relate to whoever it was (Erin I believe) who is the same size as me but thinks I look small even though you don't see yourself that way. I feel that way about other people ALL the time, sometimes I even find out those people are bigger than me. It's finally how we don't see ourselves objectively like we can other people. I really appreciate all the compliments though. I have been pretty lucky, the only area I have skin with that I am unhappy about is my upper thighs. That is why I have to hav a skirted bottom, no way could I (or should I say would I) go with a regular bathing suit bottom. My thighs look like sharpei puppies I forget who asked about my boobs but I had them done a little over a month ago that is why they look so good they are new LOL That is the only plastics I've had done. Thanks everyone!! You are all fabulous too!!!
