I have to laugh, I have never really watched it before. Though when I caught it I found it inspirational. Last night my DH was watching it- he usually passes by these kinds of shows. He was in awe. Out loud he said "can you image what it must be like to lose that much weight" I turned to him and was like "Dah.. nope" lol. It was amazing to see how much they lost. I was talking with someone this morning and she noted that these people are working out something like 5 hours a day. I don't know how you can live a normal life and do nothing but work out. I get in about 45 minutes if I am lucky. what were your thoughts? donna

Hi Barb, as usual you give us interesting stuff to think of!! Well I will say that at 63 it hasn't diminished with age thankfully (I hope my daughters never read this they will die!!) and the wls has only made it better and sexier. Yes, life is good. Oh, and I don't' even have to worry about getting pregnant!! You can see the generation I come from -- birth control pills, ah no, and don't ever ever ever believe the old 'I'll pull it out in time' line!! I don't think so! love donna

open the dang box!! I myself would not be able to wait. I have been a peeker since I was a little girl. Never any surprises. Does it ruin it for me -- NO!! But I say (and of course I would be a good one to listen to--) open the sucker up!! Besides, there may be some Christmas things that you could enjoy longer if you open it now. Let me know!! Oh, and since I haven't been around for a few days, maybe you already have!!! love you! donna

Hi Michelle, I do eat the South Beach Protein bars. but I make sure I get the Meal Replacement Bar. They have 19 Grams of Protein and 0 sugars. they do have sugar alcohol but that doesn't bother me. As long as they have no sugar. they fill me up nicely. But be careful because South Beach has other bars with less protein and more sugar. we can't have those. I also like the pro-protein bars (smores flavor). they have 29 grams of Protein and 0 sugars. Now I see they are making them with 19 grams of protein. these really hold me for a long time. I keep a supply of both of them in my pocketbook and at work and in my glove compartment. I never go more than 3 hours without a meal of some kind. (it may just be yogurt and fruit but I do need something) Otherwise I get too hungry and want to start to snack. South Beach Meal Replacement Bars work nicely to avoid the dreaded unhealthy snacking. Koukla 338/184/? p.s. the power crunch bars are good too.

I will eat a South Beach Chocolate protein bar in a pinch like if I am traveling and I usually also have them in my desk in case I need more protein. They have 10 grams of protein per bar but the sugars are high with sugar plus sugar alcohol. I am fortunate not to dump( or not fortunate depending on your view point!!) But I rarely eat them as a rule. I use String cheese as my treat or a quick fix of protein. Jacqueline

South Beach bars have too much sugar for me. I dump on anything more than 6 grams within an hour's time. I have gotten the FreshEnergy bars...I think the website is www.freshenergybakery.com. They are OK, I only eat 1/2 one at a time, since they are so dense plus a whole one is 350 calories. Hope this helps. Pam

I think we're all a bit more "sexed" now that we've got a ton of weight off of us and feel better about it. Gosh, between Bob and me, we've lost 220 lbs and sex is now once again FABULOUS!!! Watch that you don't transfer your food/drug/alcohol addiction over to a sex one...it can happen....but in the meantime...have fun! Paula
