Topic: We're moving!!!
Well, we've been waiting a couple of months for the answer and Bob got it the other day...he got a great promotion to management, but at Bradley Int'l airport in Hartford, CT...
Though I'll miss living near the ocean (it'll only be and hour's drive) all of our family lives in CT and this is a great opportunity for Bob in the last decade of his career.
He'll have to commute for a bit, cause they want him to start in the matter of weeks...the house is no where to sell....we have some touching up and finishing to do. The house is only 5 years old, so it's in great shape with a lot of add ons and specials to the house...hopefully, it shouldn't be too hard to sell, despite the present market...
Oh, moving...this will be our 7th move in 11 years (our 11 yr anniversary is today!) and I'm no stranger to moving. I HATE IT and DREAD IT! But, it'll be ok. We're going to look in Windsor, CT where all of Bob's family lives and where he grew up. The airport is in Windsor Locks, CT, so, it'll cut Bob's commute, too.
The kids are great with it (so far) and want to move. Tim, I worry about because of his separation anxieties, etc. But, he'll have family (cousins) near by and makes friends easily. He'll do fine.
We're trying to make it so they can finish out the school year here, but, if the house sells and we have to get out and we find a new one and it works out, they may have to change mid year.
I'm lifting it all up to the Lord cause I can't make or handle these decisions on my own!
Just wanted to let you know our news...
Now comes the hard work. Maybe the last pounds will come off as I get off my a$$ and get moving!

Hello Paula,
I had someone ask me the other day how I have become so smart I just told that I view each day as a chance to either get through it or learn from it, and that it is true you learn something new every day.
I choose to learn from my lessons.
I'm glad you will be spending the evening with your family, and Happy Anniversary also
WOW 11 years I can't wait to be celebrating 11 yrs with hubby ,It's hard for me sometimes to grasp that January 3rd will be 4 years already since we moved in together wow.
Today I am 5 weeks (9 weeks to flutter)35 weeks to go. I feel pretty good most of the time, the major morning(NOT) sickness seems to be setting in between 9 and 11 pm. I have a new man in my life his name is John and we visit daily now...lol
I crave cheese puffs and v8 juice so at least I know I'm getting in veggies and carbs hehe
I haven't even seen the OB yet , my 1st apt is Jan 18th, almost 4 weeks from now , They said they don't do a first appointment until 10-12 weeks because most miscarriages happen by then if they are going to happen (real encouraging huh?) I asked them about a sonogram and she said well we don't due those until 18-20 weeks unless there is a good reason too (wanting to see my baby isn't a good reason? come on people...lol) I explained to her about the problems and M/c in march and she said she would check my chart and see if one is warranted.
My plan is to go in and cry and tell them I am so worried because of last time I NEED to know this baby is Okay , I'm sure I'll be hormonal enough by then to cry at the sight of a sonogram machine witch they have sitting right in the exam room anyway.
Have a wonderful evening and again Happy Anniversary !
Hugssss

Thank you Linda,
It is amazing how we have never met but over the last 17 months we have become such a close family and support system for each other,I may not always post but each day I come and check the board and even off line I wonder how my "family" is doing.
May the New year bring you new found focus and determination and new challenges so that you not get board.

I was in a STRETCH 30/32, and COULDn't fit in jeans..... now I wear a 14 and just cant believe it. My goal was to get to a size 16, like in high school 23 yrs ago... did that....
This operation like everyone said, was on the stomach, and not where it REALLY needed to be , on the BRAIN!!!!!
I do want to lose at least 11 more lbs so I can be overweight, instead of obese... I never see me being NORMAL or THIN, although people constantly call my skinny, blowing away etc, no tummy.. HAVE THEY SEEN THE NUDES.. THE SKIN??? LOL!!!!!!
Anyway...ttally ormal for us, I believe to have these feelings...

Shelly,
You are such a wise and wonderful woman. I'm SO proud to know you!
Those words you've just written really touched me...Thank you for them.
New Year's Eve is our wedding anniversary, so, we will celebrate 11 wonderful years together...we've been getting a sitter the last few years to go out alone, but this year, we're having Grandma Hepler and Bob's sister and her three kids come down to do an overnight (her husband has leukemia and can't leave the house for a year due to a bone marrow transplant) and go to our town's "first night' celebration that starts mid day.
We just feel like being with our family this year. They, too, are very special to us and we want to go out with them. Grandma took our kids to the first night last year and they had a blast...
How are you feeling? How many weeks are you, now? I remember the first time I felt that "flutter" of movement....it was so special and weird at the same time.
Are you craving anything yet? With Anna, I couldn't get in enough salad with raspberry vinegrette dressing...With Timmy, it was Turkey Hill "mint chocolate chip" ice cream! From sour to sweet!
Did you have an ultrasound yet? To see the little round mass with a beating to it is also so great. And, technology has come a LONG way since Timmy was born almost 7 years ago.
Be well, my friend....Happy New Year!
Love,
paula

Randy,
Congrats!!! I've too been stuck at 200.2 - 203lbs since August...I've gotten on the scale a couple of times and it was below 200, but hasn't stuck long enough.
I'm going to up my cardio after Jan 1 to see if I can also get to 1derland!
Keep up the great work!

Gen,
Let me be the first to congratulate you on your engagement and making your goal!
I'm SO happy for you. It is a fun time. Don't wait too long. Life is short and don't sweat the small stuff...get it done.
I planned both of my weddings in less than a month....and they were beautiful.
Have fun....
BTW...your ring is gorgeous...elegant and beautiful on your "tiny" hand.
