hahahaha... I will go into that room with you. I need the kick. I was away this weekend celebrating the new year and now have a really bad cold. I slept in this morning instead of starting my work out. I just have to make sure that this doesn't go on to long. donna

I started eating the banannas and pb because of working out in the afternoon I thought it would give me the boost I need but dang I didn't know a bannana had that many calories I guess I need to rethink those bananans.

A medium banana (about 7" long) has: 105 calories 27gms carbs 3.1 fiber 14.4 gm sugar 1.3gm protein... Not the best food for us. And, peanut butter isn't the best either. Usually has lots of sugar and a good amount of carbs that nullifies out the protein. Stick to low fat cheese and some reduced fat crackers... Edamome (or soy beans) are great! I love em. I buy them in the frozen food section of the health food section (the shelled/loose ones) you boil water, pop them in (they're like lima beans) the water, reboil for 3-5 minutes and then drain. Spray with some butter spray and it's a tasty snack....they put them in the asian salad at McDonald's...loaded with protein. You can also get them roasted like peanuts... Lower or no fat dips and fresh peppers or cukes are good, too. I've been on a "sneak downstairs" in the evening to get fritos and pretzels of late, so, I'm not one to ask!! Buy some of those bars I sent ya. Those are 15gms of protein. Paula

Topic: Ideas for snacks
I was wondering if everyone would post ideas for snacks that are full of protein that you can have at your fingertips that are healthy for you. I need more variety and I am sure with everyone wanting to lose weight we are all looking for better things to eat. I know I have been trying to eat complex carbs with protein so I have been eating a bananna and peanut butter together but I wonder if the bananna has to much sugar in it even tho it is healthy. This is where I get confused about eating. Thanks for the advice!!

basically with Shel being pregnant she can eat whatever the baby wants (within reason) - I think she's got a great hold on what she needs to do and how to handle it...as long as she keeps up the exercise she'll do great...the baby comes first and what baby wants baby gets!!!! glad to see you're back to being focused - I can't wait for all the sugar and carbs to leave my body! Great new pic Glad to see you got that newfound commitment going. I haven't started on my water yet but I did have 16 oz of milk and a 20 oz cup of decaf coffee with milk, a banana and about 10 cheesepuffs. I have 2 different appointments to go to so I will get my walk in today too. All I really want to do is go back to sleep.but then thats ALL I seem to want to do latley..lol I'll nap after my Appointments I guess. I just want to make sure I stay under 300 while i'm pregnant that still gives me room to gain some, I'm hoping I don't need all THAT room though. Shel

Hello all and Happy, Happy!! I cannot believe how time has flown away!! I cannot believe it is Jan 07. I cannot believe that in 5 days, I will be in surgery for a tummy tuck, hernia repair and breast lift!! It is costing me a bit( insurance will not cover anything) but I desparately need it all done. I am hoping you all will be sending me your thoughts and positive healing energy as I am trying to only miss two weeks of work. Cross your fingers, say your prayers, whatever it is you do!! I had an interesting Holiday as I got a last minute flight from Germany to Florida to be with Family... Now I remember why I live in Germany!! My poor parents did not even notice I have lost 115 pounds!! I saw them last year Feb(06) and they did not even say a word!! YIKES. on the other hand... my 6 year old adorable niece did notice(saw her last Dec 05) and had much to say!! What a sweet child! I got to go to the beach for a day and then right back home to Germany!! My sister remains a close support and it was worth it to see her and her three lovely daughters( We went to the beach one day and sister and I shopped one day) Ok, I will stop here!! I have been reading and catching up: Paula is moving... Best wishes. Thank goodness we can still communicate via this forum. Everyone else seems good?! I hope. Welcome Ilsa: Glad you found us. Hello to both special Donna's and Barb: Hope you are well. I am sure I missed a few of you out there.. Jet lag still!! Hugs to all, love Jacqueline
