For me, the biggest downfall is alcohol. I love wine or a screwdriver at night . . . sigh.
Yes , you can slap me simple with that comment....

My surgery was Sept 2005, I find that I am getting concerned with weight gain. My highest was 325 lowest 150, now range from 156- 160 range. which these last few pounds have only come back in the last 6 months. Most of the time I follow the rules but latley I have been grazing alot. I have a major sweet tooth. But Even when I am being very good, I am not satisfied at meal time and the fullness doesn't last. For example I had a moose roast for supper 1/2 cup 1/2 cup mashed potatoes, 1 asparagus, cup of cauliflour cooked. I would have normally filled with meat and a bit of potatoes but now I am able to all that extra and then turned around and had a bowl of bran cereal a few hours later and now only a couple hours later I could eat again so I had a small tangerine and small peice of cheese. So I think I have problems filling myself up for extended periods. The only thing that fills me well are dry meats and when I eat them they hurt so much that I have to throw them up. I thought stomaphyx might help to give me back my full sensation again before my weight gets out of hand. I am only 5'3" and need to lose another 25lbs. I would like to have a baby and need this weight off before that happens.
Any thought on the procedure!?!

If you're not happy with how things are going, you'll want to shine a light on things to get a good idea of what's going on.
Someone posted The Rules Of The Pouch on here a long time ago: http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/09-2005/postdetail/9333.ht ml?vc=0 Are you following these?
Some good sites to use for food tracking are www.fitday.com and www.sparkpeople.com. It can help you see if you're eating the right balance of food, getting enough fluid in, and if there are any areas of concern.
You might also do the "cottage cheese" test to see how large your pouch is. Basically what you do is take a known quantity of either cottage cheese or oatmeal that is *definitely* larger than you can eat. Eat as MUCH as you can in 10 minutes, and then measure the remaining amount to see how much you ate. An easy way to do this is to draw a line around the top line of cottage cheese, then after you've eaten your fill, fill the cottage cheese container to that line. Measure (by volume) how much water you needed, and that will tell you the volume of your pouch.
Use that frustration to take action - you've already done the hard part (surgery). Now you're just following up on it to keep it working.
