My name is Monica my surgery date was 9/2/05 and I weigh between 161-175 depending on the day/week.
3 bad habits
eating too much sugar (even though I have dumping)
finding excuses not to go to the gym & exercise
snacking
3 things I want to start doing again
exercising 4 days a week
not snacking throughout the day, eating healthy
feeling good about myself
3 good habits I am going to restart again
going to the gym tonight
get more rest
try and stay away from snacking
Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you will land upon the stars!

Hi my name is Shelly and I have gotten lazy and I love myself to much to stay that way!
I now weigh between 228 and 235 depending on the day of the week. Today is 234.
My goal is to lose just 2 lbs a week , that is the weight loss goal for "Normal" people and now after 3 yrs we are pretty much concidered "Normal" in weight and eating ability. That would put me at 222 by easter.
3 excuses
1. It's winter and it's harder to get anything done.
2. I have an month old and it's harder to stay on focus.
3.Everyone regains in the winter anyway.
3 bad habits
1. I eat whatever is available it's easier
2. I have stoped focusing on excersizing , hay it's winter..lol
3. Lack of water and supliments.
3 things I want to start doing again.
1. I want to feel good again , not sluggish and icky
2. when I see the scale , I don't want to view it as the enemy, we used to be friends.
3.I want to come back to OH family and get support and be supportive at least 2 days a week.
3 habits to restart TODAY !!
1.taking my supliments every morning when I get up
2.making 20 freetime min a day to get some excersize in (I'll add to it later but this is a start)
3.Drinking 1 glass of water when I get up and before bed and getting 1 glass in between each meal. I figure that will give me at least 5 of 8

You just gave them away to the cyber world , see , you no longer have them so now there are NO worthy excuses !
Next , list 3 bad habits you have gotten comfortable with..
Again you just gave them away to the cyber world , you can't lean on them anynore for a crutch.
The accountabilty part , Get focused.

DO THEM , TODAY !! Don't wait, remember there are no excuses you just gave them away...lol

This is the most important part... Repeat after me....... I have gotten LAZY and I love myself to much to stay that way !

It all boils down to this,
If we don't want to go back to who we were pre op we have to find a way to get back to who we were post op before things got comfortable, we have to be accountable , we have to support each other and most of all ourselves. We have to MAKE time to put us first again. There is no better time then now , Right now , just click reply and get started.

I hear you , I think we all just got a little to comfortable with the way things are and then started making excuses to keep them that way.

I gained 10 lbs over the holidays from being sick and getting lazy , now I am trying to work on geting refocused , it's nice to know that we should expect a 10-15 lb regain at about 3 yrs out BUT it doesn't make it any easier to see the scale go back up after watching it drop for 3 yrs.
I love knowing spring is comming and I can get back outside again.
I want to make the changes NOW before that 10 becomes 15 becomes 20 and 20 becomes 30 ect.
It's nice to know we are all here to support each other too.

O.k. why do we listen to our husbands all the time?
When did they get an MD after their names?
My husband does the same thing to me and sometimes I listen. But I think we have to stop being controlled my someone else and start controlling ourselves. let him tell you that you don't need to go but make sure you go. Once a year. big deal. They can give us better tips and make sure to run the right labs on us. It's very important.

just to let you know I'm in the same boat as you. It's funny about 1 1/2 years ago I met this girl that told me she had the surgery and she was alot further out than us and she told me she could eat an entire 6 inch subway. I didn't believe her then but now I do know it's true. No problem.
Yes, excerise. I have to start that up again.
let's hope we can do this because I was thinking the same thing about this just being another "quickie" diet. Only we held on a little longer. let's get going and make it last.

I do believe my pouch didn't stretched but I do believe my opening to the attached intestine is wide and also I believe the intestine is stretched. almost like a second pouch.
You have done so good.
I found that I can eat large amounts too and it scars me to death. Plus I have regained 30 pounds.
I got laxed on the excerise and grazing.
I know this doesn't help you any but I thought I'd let you know that you are not alone.
