Topic: Bummed

I am really discouraged lately.  I did buy a tread mill so I would have more time to exercise, then I got.  It really doesn't seem to matter what I do the scales keep going in the wrong direction, which just makes me want to give up.  Then I snack and feel even worse. 

I just feel like I am alone and noone understands.  Do you think everyone that isn't on here is doing great and doesn't need us, or do you think they don't want to share that they aren't doing so well?

I am messing up the biggest gift I have ever been given in my life.

Topic: OK I finally did it !
I went to Planet Fitness ...my first move. My daughter had a 3 month trial so I used that. I went last night to do the first "class" Designing your own program. I didn't stay because most of the treadmills were taken...( special going on now..$1 to sign up and $10 a month) so I hope to get back tomorrow during the day to get myself moving.
Hopefully that will help me get back on track..

I've done the 5 day pouch test several times and am currently on day 2. It helps. But really it is just getting back to basics. I can eat most anything too.

Hi,
Okay it has been FOREVER since I have been on here.  I was wondering if anyone has the diet or guidelines for retraining the pouch.  I need to get my fanny going in the right direction!  I can eat just about anything, and that is not good!

Topic: Marathon in May??
Okay I was watching bigest loser last night and they did 1/2 a marathon
I figured it up and at my current speed of walking it would take me 12 hours to walk a marathon.

12 hours to walk 27 miles , I told my Husband I want to do that , just to say I did , just for me.
I woke up thinking about it this morning and thought I don't need to do this alone and although he tries , He doesn't really understand the challange/accomplishment this will be, He hasn't been where we are.

So I was wondering , anyone else want to join me and walk a marathon in may?

Well I have started taking my b12 injections again ,I am also taking biotine,b complex my iron and folic acid...Still working on the vitamines, never did like those.

I have been walking now that it is nicer , the other day I walked 2 miles , yep all at the same time hehe. I have been raking the yard and doing some clean up , been chasing my little one in the back yard.

I am still having problems with eating I have finally given in and called the surgon about my hernia , I go see him 3/23 , I wanted to wait and have the plastics done at the same time, but there is no one to help out with Ali while hubby tends to me and this hernia needs delt with NOW (I can get someone to stay for 5 days thats it.) so I can get back to eating better and excersizing more.

Well I'm glad Im not the only one...i had my surgery almost 4 yrs ago now and my weight is slowly creeping up and i need to "nip it in the bud" I was doing great until i got pregnant withour 3rd surprise child which i am sooooo happy about...she was born May 2 2008. so during the pregnancy i gained about 65lbs. i lost 40 and now have gained 15lbs back and i feel as though i am yoyoing again.and i am scared to death....I dont want to be a failure. I have come so far. in 2007 i even did a half marathon and would love to do one again but am having trouble with motivation. as i was searching the many weightloss programs etc. out there over the last couple weeks nothing seemed to fit my situation and i decided to check back here...and i am so glad i did.  Sandy I am to ready for a change and believe somethings gotta give...hang in there and take on day at a time towards your goal!!!!!

Hi. My name is Betsy, Im 61 years old and had RNY 9/14/05. I weighed 335 the day of surgery and got down to 195 for a very short time. Current weight is 214.

3 excuses:
Its winter time, cant get out and walk.
March is birthday month in our family (11 of em!!) thats a lot  of cake! Cant hurt feelings
Im getting too old to lose weight.

3 Bad habits
I drink with my meals
I dont get my water in
I forget my supplements often.

3 things I want to start doing again
Feeling good about myself
Not focusing so much on food
Posting on OH for more support when I need it

3 good habits
Drinking my water
Taking my supplements
journaling my food.

I have gotten lazy and careless and love myself too much to stay that way!

Thanks for starting this thread, I need it!

Hi, My name is Sandy. My surgery was Sept. 28, 2005
Beginning weight was 334 Lowest was 212 ( for a day ) Now I am up to 260 !
3 excuses

1. It's too cold to go out to do anything.
2. I watch my grand daughter and she wears me out .
3.My back hurts..

3 bad habits
1. stopped logging my food .
2. too much grazing at night .
3. Lack of water and exercising

3 things I want to start doing again.
1.Get some exercise in. ( I just ordered a new mp3 player mine broke)
2. See numbers on the scale go down...Again.
3.I need to be accountable again !

3 habits to restart TODAY !!
1.start logging into fitday/sparkpeople again.
2.up my protein
3.substitute my 4Ctea for water more. And get more movement into my day.
