Tanya, You misread the post....she threw out her size 14 UNDERWEAR!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think that you're in a size 14 underwear any longer and if you did, I don't think you'd want to have Koukla's used ones!!! Paula

Topic: How we lose...
From the old book, "The Woman Doctor's Diet for Women" quote: " The subcutaneous fat in a female is genetically programed **** cream cone shaped and pear shaped) to be of a certain thickness, which means that if you lose too much from one area, your body will take fat from another available area. This is called redistribution; the process of moving the fat is called migration. I like to tell my patients that you lose from the head down, but redistribute from the feet up. You can never tell immediately after stopping a diet what the final form of your body will be, because this migration of fat takes about six weeks longer. You can't see the migration and redistribution while you are still losing steadily, because layer after layer of fat is being eliminated too quickly for the process to be discernible. You will notice it only after you have slowed down or stopped losing altogether. Your face, arms, neck, and breasts usually appear to get thinner first, thinner than your lower extremities because up above there is less fat to lose. Then you will see your waist, hips, and stomach, and finally your legs decrease in size . Women who are 10 pounds away from their ideal weight will come into my office demanding to know, "When will I lose these?" (pointing to their chubby legs). "Last", I reply. And not just last, but last of all. If you get your weight down and hold it down for a few months, you will see an interesting change in your figure begin to take place up to six weeks after you've stopped dieting those unsightly legs will get thinner and your face will become rounder. But you must tolerate a thin drawn face while you are achieving a total slim look. You face will take on a proper amount of subcutaneous fat after you've finished losing. Many women let their faces be their guide when they diet, but you can see from what I have told you that that is not a good indicator. However, in the older female it might be well to stop short of pencil slimness, in order to preserve some additional subcutaneous fat in her face to prevent wrinkles." Interesting Blessings Betsy

Topic: Hello, its Monday!
We are expecting a BIG snowstorm here tonight, so Ive checked on my stock of SF hot chocolate and protein...got chili made in the fridge! So,. let it snow let it snow let it snow!! thats one good thing about being retired,,I dont have to go out in it for any reason if I dont want to! Son in law called at 7 this morning,,,groan,,,his car wouldn't start, so had to go give his a jump from mine. Good thing he only lives a mile away. Im doin strictly protein for a day or two. My 14th little grandbaby had her first birthday party Satuurday, and Mamaw indulged in the cake. So,,Im detoxing! I really didnt do too bad, but still wanna play it safe. Dont want a gain! So, whats going on in everyones lives now that we are almost a year and a half out from surgery? Anyone at goal? Im not, still got about 25 to go to my personal goal. Anyone stuck? Whats everyone planning for Valentines day? Cmon, lets keep this board going!! For valentines day, my hubby is super overly romantic, if there is such a thing, so I have no clue what his plans are. One year it was decorating the bedroom in red crepe paper and red lights,,,and buying me a slnky nightgown (that was before my body resembled a slinky,,like it does now with all the wrinkles! LOL) Anyway, Im kinda anxious to see what this year holds,,, Blessings, Betsy

I'm having that same problem. One minute I'll be fine, the next I'll be shaking like a leaf and feeling weak and weird...I send my kids to the fridge for some juice and a cheese stick, like Shelly does! I lay down for a bit and within an hour, I'm better. Gotta add more good carbs to your diet to keep this from happening... Paula

What the heck too you SO long!?????? LOL I threw mine out last year, but kept one (yes, washed) pair for comparison against my tiny size 8's now! Place one on top of the other! And to think that I actually stretched out the 14's even though they were the proverbial "granny panties w/ a high cut!!!"... Now it's high cut size 8 mid waist (not a total bikini...I like my ass covered!) in all different colors of the spectrum...I love the Fruit of the Loom ones.. Paula

A couple of times I think I had that problem...some freinds on here told me to carry some candy with me so if i felt that way to eat a peice of candy.. I didn't get faint but i got shaky and real hot and then real hungry.
