cant eat solids yet?

maybe somone will posst me if i ssay i cant eat solids yet ....5 days after the 2.6 fill and no thing but liquids? anyone having this happen?

Stacey, It is hard to compare your surgery and what is happening for me. I had RNY on Sept 16 and have been eating all kinds of food since mid October. I have lost about 95 pounds and feel great. Started at 274 and now weight 178. I am not sure why you cannot eat solids after 7 months. Seems a bit strange to me BUT could be your surgery. Do you discuss this with your nuitritionist and/or surgeon? I see my surgeon every three months and think he would have had a cow if I wasn't eating solids. I just don't know enough about your type of surgery. So far, there are NO FOODS i have had problems with except fried foods but I think that is due to no gall bladder. Sorry couldn't be more help. Talk with your surgeon or nuitritionist. J

Hey surgery sister!! I'm Sept 16, too. I started at 269 day of surgery (289 when I started the process of a six month waiting period), and today am 179. I'm thrilled! It's slowed down alot, but I couldn't be more pleased!! donna

Stacey, I'm not a bandster..but just wanted to encourage you to call your doctor. It may just be that you got adjusted just a little too much??? Good Luck!!! Also, maybe it will relax in a couple of days and then maybe you will have a perfectly adjusted band!!!??? Shannon B.

Hello Stacy, I had rny so I can't relate to lap band. I know there is a board that is just devoted to lappers. You might want to check in with them. I know a friend who had to have 4 fills -although I'm not quite sure what that means! Good luck! Also, have you talked to your doctor about this? donna
