update

Good morning, I had not updated my profile since presurgery, so I just did. Thought I would add it here. It now states; April 29, 2006 I am really bad with updating this, I am now 50 and am now 7 months post op with surgery on September 16th, 2005. I now weigh in at 156 pounds. I thank GOD every day that I have had this surgery. When I started on this journey As mentioned I weighed almost 300 pounds In January of 2005 and have actually weighed more than 300 pounds in September 2004, presurgery weight was 235. I was on 4 blood pressure medications just to keep my blood pressure at about 180/92 . Horrible, but is the reason I decided I had better get serious before I had a stroke, I knew I had to do something about my weight. I also had sleep apnea, GERD, incontienence and my knees hurt so bad that I could not hardly move. Since my 2 week check up I have not had any more blood pressure medication, I had already been taken off 2 and they took me off my last 2 my blood pressure was 98-50 (way to low) At my 6 month check up my blood pressure was 120/68 and my doctor has now taken me off my last prescription medication for GERD and gallstones, I no longer need to be on my C PAP machine. My knees no longer hurt and I walk for at least an hour each day. I really love to walk now. This is so incredible. I still have about 16 pounds to lose. People are telling me I am to thin. Who would have ever thought this would happen, certainly not me before WLS. I used to wear a size 28 (which was very tight) and now I wear between an 8-10. I am so blessed. ***** I want to let everyone know I find each of you inspirational and I check on the board often which is so helpful to know I am not alone in my feelings. Sorry I have not posted before but will try to do better. I am going to ask my daughter and or son in law if they will help me to post a before and now picture of myself.
