4-17 3 miles
4-19 4 miles
4-22 3 miles
total for week= 15 miles
Total for month 54.5 miles
I did something really stupid this week. Monday when I started walking I never reset my pedometer- so I just let it run all week. So I don't have a daily breakdown of how many miles I went. But I did walk a lot this week even though I didn't walk Sat. due to rain.
Any way I walked 28.7 miles this week.

I came home Thursday and it is Sunday now. I have lost amost 10 lbs and that freaks me out. I cannot get in even 18gr. of protein. I struggle to get all my liquids but I get close. Nothing tastes good at all. I will try a little chicken broth later because I have been cold all day. I am having a struggle with the timing of drinks, protein and meds so they do not interact with each other. Nexium, Karafate are the hard ones to balance. I feel really tired today and was almost ready to cry earlier but I just prayed and asked the Lord for strength. I know it willl be easier each day. Thanks for the encouragment all of you.
In Christ,

THAT'S FANTASTIC, MS JOAN ... 10 #s IN NO TIME ... GOOD FOR YOU!!!!
THE MOST, MOST IMPORTANT THING IN THE BEGINNING IS GETTING IN YOUR FLUIDS ... TRY PROTEIN PUDDINGS, DRINKS LIKE PROTICA & ISOPURE, PROTEIN SHAKES, UNFLAVORED PROTEIN POWEDER LIKE "ANY WHEY" IN ANYTHING WITH A SAUCE OR CREAM BASE ... EVEN PROTEIN POWDER, FLAVORED OR UNFLAVORED, IN YOUR COFFEE TO INCREASE YOUR PROTEIN WHILE ADDING TO YOUR FLUIDS AT THE SAME TIME.
I ABOUT FROZE FOR MONTHS ... PERFECTLY NORMAL AFTER WLSurgery. EVERY SO OFTEN I STILL GET REALLY COLD & JUST CANNOT WARM UP, BUT IT'S GETTING LESS & LESS.
YOU MOST PROBABLY WILL BE ABLE TO GO OFF YOUR NEXIUM WITHIN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME ... THE GREAT MAJORITY OF WLS PATIENTS ARE COMPLETELY RELIEVED OF ANY REFLUX, GERD, ETC, ISSUES FROM DAY ONE ... & ABOUT 99% SHOW NO SYMPTOMS AFTER A VERY SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. SOMETIME IN YOUR SECOND MONTH, POST OP, GO TO YOUR PRIMARY DOC & HAVE BLOODWORK DONE TO READJUST/GET OFF PRESCRIBED MEDICATIONS YOU TOOK PRE OP THAT YOU DON'T NEED AS MUCH OF OR DON'T NEED AT ALL! EVERYONE SHOULD DO THIS, ALTHOUGH NO ONE REALLY TELLS YOU THIS. YOUR BODY WILL REALLY REGAIN ITS HEALTHY STATE SURPRISINGLY FAST.
