Hi everyone,
OK, I know we are supposed to have stalls and that a stall means our body is recovering and getting ready to loose again. BUt in my heart...I have been the same weight for almost a month now...going up half a pound then back down..then up...then down and I am so tired of this. I still have about 25 lbs more to loose and really can't seem to get the scale to move... now more info..... I am walking daily about 3-4 miles and swim two to three times a week(pretty fast) and getting enough protein and h20 But I am not counting carbs or calories or fat grams.... Can anyone say anything to help me out??? I am just STUCK and hating it? any words of wisdom.. Can a stall really last so long? A month since last lose is a long time. Help me out here. Thanks for listening. jacqueline
Perhaps you could start using fitday.com or weightbydate.com and try it for a week or so to see how many calories you're actually getting...maybe you're taking in more calories than you think? The last stall I had (but it only lasted 9 days), I stopped exercising for 2 days, then started back doing things differently...and I'm now still doing 3-4 miles a day, but I jog for about 90 seconds then walk for 2 min...and alternate like that the whole distance. I also added in Jazzercise 3 times a week. That seemed to get things moving again.
Congratulations on having only 25 lbs to go!!! that's wonderful!!
Jacqueline,
I have been at a stall for about a month and a half. I have lost a total of about 5 lbs in the last 2 months. It is part of what our body is doing. I am seeing changes in my body even though I am not losing any numbers on the scale. You might check to see if your inches are changing. I know that I have been snacking and not exercising like I was....so, I know two of the reasons for my stall...you might need to look at what you are doing with fresh eyes and see if you need to change your routine the way I need to change mine! Hope that helps!
