I still have a big knot in my stomach. Is this my new stomach. Will I always have this big knot in my stomach 2 inches under my breast. Or do I have a big hernia ???? I do alot of ab excercise. I just always asumed it was my new stomach. ( I hope it is )now that I am thin I notice it alot more. When I toucj my stomach I can feel it. Is this normal????? Thanks Barb

Does it hurt? How about when you press on it? Is it red or purple? I would call the surgeon just to be cautious. I have not loss enough to be able to see anything that closely. But these questions will probably be asked by your dr's office. Thanks, Angie

Barb, I've felt a fellow WLS patient's hernias before and they feel like a big lump rolled up near the incisions. They can hurt a lot too. He had to wear his binder to press it in and hold it secure. I'd call and make an appointment with your surgeon. You may have gotten a hernia with all of the exercise you've done on your abs. It may be just new muscle forming, you don't know and any diagnosis here is just layman's. Get it checked out so that it doesn't get worse. paula

I have the same thing,,noticed early on, No pain, no discoloration, so I am assuming it is my new stomach also. And thats where the gurgling comes from when I drink something...anxious to hear what your doc says. Mine didnt say anything at my 6 month check up,,and I forgot to mention it because its not causing any problems.
