I must admit that I do not even think about how many carbs. I honestly and still obsessed about getting enough protein and water!!! I do eat carbs, do not misunderstand me, but do not count them. And are you saying that Strawberries are bad? Hum? I love me some strawberries and they will be popping up eveywhere over here(germany) really soon. Yikes, another food I have to watch out for>>> Jacqueline
That sounds like a good idea. I have been watching my carbs. I eat anywhere from 100 to 150 a day. I am going to do what you said though, and eat only protien for about a week and see if I can get rid of the cravings. I have been eating some candy at work. I just wi**** would bother me. I wish I never tried a piece. Once I tried it and it didn't bother me, I was hooked again. I don't eat a lot but it is just a matter of time before it gets out of hand. Thanks for the idea of eating just protien for a week. That should help. I followed the atkins diet for awhile years ago and it did get rid of those cravings.

I don't think the strawberries themselves are too bad. Just as long as you're not topping them with alot of junk. Splenda only.
The other thing I was thinking about is the Vitamin C. Maybe your body is craving Vitamin C??? Since strawberries are high in Vitamin C. Plus the carbs from the strawberries are different than the carbs from say.... triscuits. They are metabolized differently because it is fructose. You need the fruit too.
Now the triscuits. Have you tried the soy products here online for the "crunchies"? I tried some the other day and thought I had died and gone to heaven. Crunchy and sweet. Only 140 C and 9g protien for the whole little bag. Just an alternative suggestion.
About the laxitive effect, check with your nutritionist at the Dr.s office.

Hi Barb, I have very few carbs, about 60 is the most I've had in the last week. I usually have 800-1000 calories, and about 115 gram of protein. I try never to have more carbs than I have protein. Just my little rule of thumb.
I do have triscuits, like you, but just with some of those little cracker cut cheese slices. I only have three.
What other carbs are you eating besides triscuits? Up your protein. I have at least three, and usually four, protein drinks a day. I certainly am not losing faster than anyone, in fact I guess I am average with everyone, but this sort of makes sense to me. I also track on fitday.
I don't know if this helps or not -- but to answer your question, yes I watch carbs!!
