miles 4/3
It is amazing how quickly two miles goes. I swim three mornings a week so I have decided to walk 3 miles a day 5 times a week to include Sat and Sun and just swim on Tues and thur morning. Swimming to me is like breathing: Gotta do it for my mental health!! Anyway, I will skip walking tomorrow and walk 3 miles wed and friday and then 3 again on sat and sun. This is actually not as bad as I thought it would be!! Thanks to whoever thought this idea up. I think I can actually DO this!! jacqueline
Awesome job ladies!
So far, I've logged 2.8 miles. Yeeessss! I'm tired but happy. Don't sound like much compared to some of you, but it's alot for me. Hey, you know, I was thinking, which I tend to do alot...Wouldn't it be awesome if we could all meet at a central place in September for a get-together? We could celebrate our one year anniversary together! I just thought it sounded fun, I don't know... To get to see everyone and compare notes, stories, tips, whatever. I just think we have alot in common regarding our surgery and weight and it would be a hoot to have a bbq, play games, meet families, show off before & after pics, etc. However, we have people from all over, so that may prove to be a huge challenge. Okay, I'll stop for now.
Take care.
okay, so have I mentioned that I am a quitter -- just can't do anything. Well, I don't think I'm going to make the challenge. First, I don't think I can walk two miles. At least I havent since we started this. I walked one mile, this weekend. today I was out all day so no walking. tomorrow out all day, no walking. I do pilates on Monday and Wednesday, Yoga on Friday, and Curves on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. So I do get exercise, -- really, I guess I'm just not a walker. And I did go out and buy a pedemoter today. Oh well. I am still going to try, but probably won't make the 60 mile goal. I'm a pud!!
Please no flaming posts!!!

Oh Donna,
Who's gonna flame you here? Not me! I'd be one to talk! I got me a pedometer yesterday and really love it. It tells miles, minutes walked, calories burned & steps. It talks to, so it's a constant reminder to step it up. It's gonna help me make a conscious effort to take those extra steps, not to park so close, etc. Believe me, after I came in from my walk this afternoon, I was wiped OUT, but am so happy I did it. I don't blame you at all. Sounds like you are a very busy gal. Good for you! I'm just glad you're here.
Take care,
Kelly
Hi Kelly, well I got the same pedometer as you -- the sucker talks!! I just haven't heard it say anything. Oh, you mean you have to walk to get it to say more than 'you have zero miles'.
I really want to do this, and I live in a beautiful area that would be wonderful for walking, but I have these three spoiled dogs that would get so mad if I didn't take them ALL. And I can't do that. See - there I go, making excuses. The story of my life. I bet I get kicked off this board!!!!
