Hi everyone, Listen, I knoooow I have not been participating much around here, only because I feel so ROTTEN about my stupid choices and slow weight-loss. Now, I have a plan/request. I would like to challenge myself to walk 60 miles in April. That may not sound like a lot to most, but it's a heck of a lot more than I've done so far. So, does anyone want to join me on this endeavor? Maybe you are like me and don't make the time to exercise. Maybe spring has sprung and we need to spring into action and get off our procrastinating rears!LOL Anyway, that's ME! Maybe you have your OWN challenge you'd like to see accomplished in April. What do you all think? Any takers? My challenge for myself is to walk 60 miles in April and get from 245 to 230#. I think I can do this, because of the complete lack of much effort before, my body is going to go into shock with all the activity and shed 15#. If you don't want to join us, just cheer us on! I know I need it! Blessings, Kel

Hi Kelly I don't think I will make 60 miles but I will try. Although spring vacation will help we are heading to Disney World so there will be lots of walking there. I will try to remember my pedometer and keep track. I just got back from walking 2 miles with my grandson. But today is still March so guess it doesn't count.... I was hoping to get to 250 before we got to FL but guess my bod doesn't want to cooperate...2 pounds.... I'm not asking for much ! Are you going to have a daily or weekly log of how much you have walked ? Too bad Michael can't add miles walked to his stats like gallons. (hint hint... ) Sandy

I'm in 60 miles seems like ALOT to me lol and I work-out every day but I want to try to shock my body back into some quick weight loss. This 1pound a week stuff is really starting to bug me LOL but at least its a loss. PLUS I REALLY want to get to 100 pounds lost by my birthday which is April 25th. I am only 7.5 pounds from that goal and REALLY REALLY want to get there cause then I will also weigh less than my hubby which hasn't EVER happened. So lets DO THIS and make April a REALLY good month Anna

Hi everyone, Wow! I'm so excited so many are already on board!! My motivation is so high now. Thanks. Yeah, I know 60 miles seems like a lot, believe me! It's just like you said Heidi, 2 miles a day, unless we miss...well, at least we have a goal to shoot for. Maybe we could go 2.5 miles a day for 6 days and it'll all equal out! I have a Walk a Mile by Leslie Sansone and it's a piece of cake, takes me 20 minutes or so. When I use my treadmill, seems to take longer. I got it for $6 at Wal-Mart and plan to do it again, beginning tomorrow. If I popped that in the vcr in morning & went for a "real" walk at night, or did the treadmill during one of the sitcoms, I'd have it made. We shall see...I really think I can do it and know you all can to. We just have to help each other stay on track and keep motivated. Concerning how to keep track, I haven't the slightest idea except maybe to check in each morning and tell how we did the day prior. I like the idea of the link about tracking your walking route too, on about.com . How neat! I had fun with that and realized I have to wak further than I thought to make 2 miles! Okay, I'll stop for now. Thanks to all of you for your inspiration and goals. We're gonna make it!

Hi Kelly This is a great idea, what a way to keep us accountable.I was having a hard time "finding" time to get on the treadmill also so I picked my favorite two shows each day and made a promise to myself that if I was not on the treadmill I can'****ch them it's a hard promise to keep sometime but I only missed my shows a few times before I got my but up and on the treadmill. I also did better at getting to the gym after I got trainer because it's hard to be a no show when someone is waiting on you, If a trainer is not an option find someone to walk with you and make each other accountable. As for the challenge count me in, just let me know how we are going to track it. Lets get moving together

Hi Kelly, okay I'm in. That's tomorrow isn't it?? Yikes. I'll try it on my treadmill - boring. But I want to do it. I think it's a great idea. You wouldn't want to change it and make it 45 miles, would you!! Just kidding - I'm in!! Okay, so who wants to create a exercise log to track all this?? Not me!! donna
