carbs?

I've been using weightbydate.com on my TREO phone since surgery, carefully tracking exercise, weight and calories and protein grams. I think I am probably at the point where I need to start tracking carbs as well...I don't think I'm getting too many carbs, since I am eating about 90-100 grams protein a day and about 1000 calories, but I still feel like I need to start tracking them as well. Is anyone else tracking/measuring carbs daily? do you have suggestions on how many carbs a day? Thanks! Pam 5'2" 282/**184**/145

I track carbs. I'm not really concerned about the good carbs but I do try to keep to between 40-50 net carbs a day. As per my Nut to get the net carbs I subtract the fiber and sugar alcohols if any. She actually says that 60 carbs a day is okay. I know a lot of people have "carb" issues, but carbs are the only fuel your brain uses and I can use all the help I can get. I use fitday.com to track and I really like it. Micha

Pam, I have been counting carbs also. I am counting total carbs though. I eat about 120 to 150 total carbs a day. Should we be only counting net carbs? I wasn't sure. My protien is always 80 or more every day. The only other thing I count is fluids. 64 to over 100 a day. Thanks for the information. Carol W
