HELP!! How do you get pics on your profile???
There are two ways. Both ways require that you have the pics stored someplace else, like Yahoo or Flickr.
Then you can click on "my profile" at the top of the page. Enter your information in the log in box and on the main profile page you can...
Method #1: Scroll down to towards the bottom in the first column and click on "Profile Color and Photos." Three boxes will come up, the bottom two will be "Photo #1" and the next will be "Photo #2" Fill in the form, and in the URL spot, put the link to your picture elsewhere. (The link will look something like this: http://www.domain.com/mypic.jpg)
Method #2: Click on general info, where you write to your blog. You can include a picture in this part too. Simply type in the correct HTML tag, and the picture will be included. So, to include a picture, type in:
[img src="http://www.domain.com/mypic.jpg"] (except repace the [] with the symbols located about the , and the . which this forum automatically strips out if I type them myself! )
And the next time you look at your profile, your picture will be there.
HOW DO I FIND THE URL OF MY PIC?
Go to where you are storing it. Look at it. Click on it till it is the only thing in your browser. Copy the address in the address bar. That's the URL you want.
Hi Michelle
I used a website called www.photobucket.com. As I recall the directions are pretty good.
Then when I went to put the pictures in my profile first I just got a white box with an x in it. I kept messing around with it and finally it worked.
I know that sounds kind of vague and I know Michael, the picture guru
gave great directions too.
Just wanted to give you another option that worked for me.
Good Luck,
Nancy S.
I use photo bucket also. When you upload your pics to photobucket it will give you a URL line and a TAG line (and one other I forget because I never use it). To add pics to the bottom of the page you do like Michael said. Go into your profile control thingy and down on the very bottom left there is a Photos and Colors option. It will let you put in the URL for two different photos. Just keep up two browsers and cut the URL from photobucket and paste it in there for each one. To put a picture in the middle of your blog (like after a post) use the TAG line instead, same thing just copy it from photobucket and then past it into your blog area where you update. Hope this helps. On the main message board there are more clear directions posted, that is where I learned how to do it from a girl named Penlope.
