I began this jorney almos...
I began this jorney almost 2 years ago. Weighing 258. I am down to 188-189-190 cuz I haven't been loosing anything for a while... which I start feeling depressed but then I think.. When I first went to my wl surgeon, I weighed 258. It took me 1 year to loose 10lbs...10lbs thats it! I did try to loose too. I get sad when I think I only lost 60lbs.....but 60lbs is awesome..I know most of you have lost more, but I guess my body is different and it will just take a little longer than most of you all... I am hoping i can get over this stall....I am susposesd to go to the doctors tomarrow but I don't think I have lost anyting in this past month... so I am not sure if I will go....
Heidi,
You have to go to the Dr.. It's so important to get your followup care. I only lost 5 lbs all of Feb. I follow my program to the letter, and I "only" lost 5 lbs. Now since 3/1 I've lost more than I did all month. My body just needed a chance to catch up. I'm still in the 200's and my weight loss has slowed, YOU'RE in the 100's and a heck of a lot closer to goal than I am, that's another reason why your weight is slower, you're a lightweight.
There are several on this board that weighed more than me at surgery and now weigh less, it's okay - I'm losing and will continue to follow my program.
My 6 mo appointment is next Monday - I'm going, no one can make me feel bad about the amount of weight I've lost, I'm doing what I can and so are you.
Now get your A$$ to the Dr girl............................I bet he's happy with your loss.
Micha
Don't get depressed. If you look at everyone else posting lately nearly everyone is in a major stall. Lots will stall for weeks and then get back on track. Also if you look at the database that Michael has put together I noticed that the weekly average pounds lost has slowly drop for everyone. If you only loose a few pounds a month- that beats were you were pre-surgery.
I agree with going to the Drs. especially for a 6 month appt. It is important.
Chin up-- you look great.

Or I can send you my excel spreadsheet that does it for you. Except mine lets me put in a goal date and tells me how much I have to lose each week to make it.
When I started, I said I wanted to be at goal in one year. I needed to lose 3.98 pounds a week when I start. I've whittled that weight down to 2.07 pounds a week. So I'm well on my way to reaching the goal on time.
I know it's hard Heidi, but go to your appt. Maybe your nurse will have some suggestions for you. Then you can share what they say with us other slow losers. I noticed that your number is still blue on Michaels spreadsheet. Mine is red! I have lost 58.5 bs. Try to stay optomistic and I will too.
