Imagine
I have started going to a women's group on Monday nights and last week there was a hand out given that particularly moved me. I am not a feminist or a male basher. I thought maybe I would share it with the group just incase there was someone else out there that feels as insecure as I do about myself. I just thought this would be a really great way to to someday feel about myself.
Imagine a Women in Love with Herself
Patricia Lynn Reilly
Imagine a women who believes it is right and good she is a women. A women who honors her experience and tells her stories. *****fuses to carry the sins of others within her body and life.
Imagine a women who trusts and respects herself. A women who listens to her needs and desires. Who meets them with tenderness and grace.
Imagine a woman who has acknowledged the past's influence on the present. A women who has walked through her past. Who has healed into the present.
Imagine a women who authors her own life. A women who expects, initiates, and moves on her own behalf. *****fuses to surrender except to the truest self and wisest voice.
Imagine a women who names her own gods. A women who imagines the divine in her image and likeness. Who designs a personal spirituality to inform her daily life.
Imagine a women in love with her own body. A women who believes her body is enough, just as it is. Who celebrates the body's rhythms and cycles as an exquisite resource.
Imagine a women who honors the body of the Goddess in her changing body. A women who celebrates the accumulation of her years and her wisdom. *****fuses to use her precious life energy disguising the changes in her body and life.
Imagine a women who values the women in her life. A women who sits in circles of women. Who is reminded of the truth about herself when she forgets.
Imagine yourself as this women.
