Megga WOW moment
I was trying on clothes that I had been holding onto for a while hoping to get back into them someday (what woman doesn't do that?) and I put on my Senior Prom gown... zippered and everything. If I needed to, I could wear it to a formal occasion, but realistically, I should lose a few more lbs first and try to get my skin on my belly removed at the very least before wearing it in public (arms too would be nice, but not sure I can get that one covered by insurance) I continued to try on clothing and found some of my old T-shirts that are size L and they fit! So I kept digging and I put on a sweater that I last wore when I was 15... yes, 15. I kept it because my first boyfriend ever loved that sweater on me and I wanted something to remember my first love by... well... it looks fabulous on me. It goes JUST to my waist, is fitted (was baggy in HS), and I fill out a sweater a LOT better than I did then... not that I was shabby then either, but still... I'm so excited about this. I have t-shirts now to wear that have cute sayings on them and will keep me young... they are cartoon characters. I'm so happy it isn't funny... I just hope I can keep up the weight loss and feel even better about my health and my body, although I never thought I'd make it this far. I'm already to my "if I get to X I'll be happy" weight... but I want to keep going and be totally healthy.
Love and hugs to all.
Rachel
I too have been finding some clothes in the back of my closet that I've had for 20 years and I'm just now cutting off the price tags....I have always bought for the "future" but now, finally, that time is here. (It's a good thing that some classics never go out of style or I'd be in real trouble.)
I've still got a lot more to lose, but it is truly a thrill to be able to try on clothes that have been kept hidden for so long.
I'm really happy for you Rachel.
