So that is what that is for.....
So I get in the Mustang and I am smiling as I realize how far back I sit now from the wheel. I noticed how far the wheel was up off of my legs. I then remembered "Wait I think I have tilt-steering in this car" Sure enough I found the lever that I was never able to use before and lowered the wheel all the way. Wow and I even had room to spare. The best part was when I arrived at work, and forgot I had lowered the wheel and was able to get right out of the car without changing it. WOOOHOOO!
Michael,
I was just feeling the same way this week! Feeling that the seat was SO far away from the steering wheel. I can't move the seat up because my legs are so long, so, I have to reach...the tilting/telescoping steering wheel is as far out as it will go!
I wish I had marked my seatbelt to where I was wearing it and see the difference where I wear it now. I used to have it SO pulled out that it would lock itself and I'd have to unbelt it and unlock it not to choke me!
These little things are the most wonderful revelations we can be having, don't you think???

We have a corvette that we purchased about 2 1/2 years ago, I never use to like to go for rides with my husband (I was so afraid of exceeding the payload). Now that I fit in the car so nicely I love to go with him. I'm even taking it for a spin. Every year there is a corvette gathering in Reno, I can't wait for the next one, this year I will feel like I belong!
