If your name is on this list, you will be dropped from the September Average Listing on Monday. To keep from being dropped, you need only send me your CURRENT WEIGHT as a reply to this message. If you are dropped, but would like to rejoin, look for my next call for updates and send me the information requested. Thanks! Sorry to put you all on the spot here, but some of these entries haven't been updated in over a month, thanks to my health issues. The data is badly skewed, and by returning to data no more than two weeks old, we can fix this. Thanks again. I hope you all update me so we can keep you on the list! Losing 24 people would be tough on the list, but not as tough as the bad data! Thanks again for your time!

Michael, Question... How come we go by the weight the day of surgery and not the starting weight when we began the process? My doctor does my weight loss by the date that I first saw him ever. Just curious. Paula

We could add a "starting weight" catagory if we wanted to. The reason I want the "surgery weight" and not the "Starting Weight" is because of the calculations over on the right hand side of the chart. Everything time based (weekly average and the like) is based on a date. The only date we're recording is the surgery date. Knowing the surgery date and the surgery weight, we know how many pounds per week, on average, you've lost. Putting your starting weight, or highest weight in that equation doesn't give us a true picture of how much weight you've lost, on a weekly average, since surgery. Remember this started as a look at who was losing slow after the surgery? So everything kinda started with the surgery weight as the key componant. I'd love to include my presurgery weight on the chart. That bumps me up from 147 pounds lost to 170 pounds lost!

Michael, Sorry I haven't been around ... I was in India for a friends wedding with no computer access ... . Interestingly, since there was so little that I could eat I got very low on protein ...so when I came back after two weeks I had not lost at all. But ... last week was good ... so I weight 214 today .... and will update on Monday as expected. Jody
