too thin
I just got back from the dr today and well she was concern that I had not been able to eat eggs, ck, pasta and not able to drink water without feeling a bubble, or throwing up, so they want to go in and stretch my tube to make it bigger I guess she thinks its too thin. Has anyone ever had to do this? I am scared because I don't want them to poke a hole in my esophagus or anywhere else for that matter. Plus is it going to make me hungrier and make me eat too fast? I am just scared because I don't want to go through this after all the work I have put in it so far. HELP!!!! She also said that I had lost too much to fast and that they are recalculating my goal weight to be 150 instead of 133.
I had it done a couple of weeks ago. Piece of cake, they put me in lala land. I didn't actually go to sleep and I remember them telling me to close my eyes, but no pain during or after and now I can eat without that "stuck" feeling. It did not cause me to be hungry. I'm not able to eat more, but I am able to eat more dense protein.
No worries.

I had this done about a month after the original surgery. I was getting violently ill, no foods would stay down at all, etc... they called it a stricture. Now the only food I have issue with is seafood and I love seafood... sniff, sniff... I hope that changes soon!
If you had to have an Upper GI done for medical clearance, it's the same procedure, you'll be fine and afterwards, the best it will do for you is make it easier for you to get your proteins.
