6 Month Check Up

Well, yesterday I had my 6 month check up a few weeks early. First of all I was very surprised that my blood work all came back OK. This is the first time I have done my workup. I thought maybe with the dizzy spells I have been having somethng would be off. He said that my blood pressure is probably just getting acclamated to having less fat and it will probably be going up and down for a while. He couldn't believe that I have lost as much weight as I have. It was a very good moment for me. He actually said "You are the ****!!". Which was a very big surprise to me. He said at this point he already considers me a success. I can't tell you how good I felt when I left his office. One thing the did kind of confuse me was that he thought I would probably end up at about 170- which is only 26 pounds from where I am now. I wanted to be about 150-but he thought I would be too skinny (I am 5'10). I lost 86 pounds in 5 1/2 months doesn't it make since that I would lose more than 26 in the next 6 months? Anyway, it went very well and I don't have to go back for another 3 months. Walkin on Air, Christine

I think your right I will know when I feel comfortable with my weight. I know my husband will not let me get too thin- I think he likes it when I have a little meat on my bones. Thanks, Christine

Wow! That sounds like my conversation from my Surgeon at my recent 5 month check up. I am between 5'6 and 5'7 and I am big boned and my Surgeon thinks I will be too thin looking at 150. He thinks 170 is better for me. So does my PCP. Well, we will both have to wait and see. I know I will need plastic surgery and that can take another 10 to 20 pounds off you. I finally reached 78 pounds today. I cannot wait till the 80 pounds are lost. Well, good luck.
